It's fairly decent for the price within the area. Few minutes tryke ride to Alona Beach so it's well within proximity to where the night life is. Very hot water in the shower (which doesn't help given the climate). Have raised many times but we were told it's been adjusted already. Vault wasn't working -- been raised as well but no fix at all. It is good value but had to check out a day early when we found another accommodation. We were given the wrong room upon check-in, luckily the guy inside wasn't naked at all (could've been worse). But didn't make a fuss out of it, human error happens at times. Overall, you get what you pay for. If you have the $$$ I'd recommend somewhere else, otherwise Roman Empire has its own character and charm if on a budget.

The large pool in the center of the hotel is very attractive. The dining area is very pleasant, staff is friendly and effecient and its only a short tricycle ride to Alona beach. The wifi is stable and strong. The standard room is just adequate. The bathroom couldnt have been smaller. The shower has a water saving action that cuts off the flow every 10 seconds. Very annoying and the water is barely look warm.

Nice place and staff are friendly, place is clean and the food is great. Mai-Mai our waitress everyday is super nice and friendly. Always there and always willing to serve with a good smile on her face all the time, very respectful. Definitely coming back and refer to family and friends!

I booked 5 days for this property for my family. They arrived after 11PM and no one was in the lobby . The guard was rude and unaccommodating even after knowing that they were so tired already. You cannot call anyone at this resort after 11PM. So if your flight arrives late this will be the worse place to go. I haven't received any word for my full refund. avoid this place

Brand new hotel. Looks nice. Have big pool and access to pool from 1st floor rooms balcony. Restaurant at medium price, have european menu items. Spa available. Rental bikes available. In room very good organized power outlets and light switches. Cleanness. Unfortunately, not everything is good. In my room problem with keycard sensor. I think, previous guests used paper for sealing keycard in holder. The staff sees this and does not even think about changing. There are only two contacts and two screws. I saw that in the evening one couple moved to another room. I think that because of these problems. The staff is all very young, seemingly no older than 20 years. It is evident that they are trying, but it turns out not so good. Therefore, the service is not high level. The bathroom is so small that if you stand facing the sink, you need to put one foot on the toilet. In the evening I saw a centipede on the floor in the room. Super economy shower, need push and hold button for water. If button pop-up, 5-10 seconds and water stopped. Only one keycard, only one breakfast coupon, inconvenient for two people. Cash only deposit. Located in no cellular coverage area. And hotel Wi-Fi has very weak signal power. In room no Wi-Fi near front door, only near balcony. Under construction, noise. Do not pay for this hotel a lot, buy only if you see big discounts. This hotel good for 1-2 days staying only.

thanks for your time to review us. unfortunatelly not everyone can be pleased, even our staff is young, but they work in the hotel business more then a year and constantly get trained and observed by our managers to improve service. our room has a size of 28 s.qm what is bigger then other average hotel rooms. our showertimer got improved to a maximum time of 30 seconds and as described in the room, if u press within the 30 seconds again, it continuous running. Unfortunately some guest try to overcome the hotel switches with different tools what causes damages on the switches. A simple request at our front desk for a second card what solve this problem

I did discuss this review with management prior to my departure and they said they will address everything and covered my minibar charge - which was about 500 pesos for a 4 day stay, but I feel that is inadequate for the issues. On the positive - it is a lovely pool and the location is very convenient to both the airport and Alona beach. There is great potential but the hotel is very new On the negative There is a long list of charges in your room - dirty the sheet, break a cup, break the shampoo bottle, leave a stain on the pillow, dirty a towel. Some of these just have to be expected at a hotel. I did not get charged for any but it felt like a set up. There is wifi, but there's really not wifi. It's not good enough to send an email with an attachment. The air conditioning in the room points straight at your head when you sleep - so you have this cold air blowing straight on you. You have to build a pillow fort to have the air con working so the room is cold but your face is not being blasted. The shower is on a 7 second timer and only gives luke warm water. You have no control. You can't have a hot or cold shower, only luke warm. The TV in my room worked for 3 hours in 3 days. I reported this 6 times.

good am. Unfortunately you had a bad experiance. We are sorry about that. Regarding the issues with the "long list" in the minibar, in every hotel of course you have to pay the mini bar as well as additional laundry services. No other charges appeal, except, if the beddings get stained through paint or tattoo, what my staff tried to remove, but it didnt work, so we had to charge it to the guest , as what every other hotel is doing as well. what is not our fault, but of course, you would complain, if you occupy a room, what has dirty (stained) bed sheets. The aircon has a remote control as well and the air can directed in different direction (our staff can set this up for guest, if requested). Regarding our internet, we have two provider with a speed of 5 - 25 mpps per second. Our water temperature is set to 37 degrees, in order not to "burn" our guest and everybody so far was happy with it. Upon ur non-working TV, we had only in ur time of stay, 3 hours no TV signal do to works on the line from the provider. Anyway, for some reason, i did not know about ur complain, otherwise i would have given ur right away another room. refunds upon check out, cant/wont be honored in any hotel, even with a bad review treat. We are again sorry about your experience.

Really nice hotel, I can recommend this to both couples, friends, families, older, younger. Fresh and modern with a friendly staff. Didn’t have so high expectations but I got overwhelmed when coming here, upon arrival you get free welcome drink and 20 minutes spa, it’s a nice guarded pool, it’s little expensive food compared to other restaurants in Philippines but also the best food I have got here. Great value for the money

AVOID this hotel. It is still UNDER CONSTRUCTION. A powerful SMELL of OPEN SEWERS kept filling our room. The NOISE from POWER DRILLS directly above and from GENERATORS and workers SHOUTING from behind a wall a few feet away made us want to leave as soon as possible. When I complained I was lied to; the smell is from sealant they said, and they offered us a free drink. When I spoke to the owner at the end of our stay he said he might be able to offer us a free stay next time, but he would have to speak with the other owners first. We've been back 4 days and heard nothing. The room had no drawers, just a small hanging rack, so we had to live out of our suitcases. There is no phone. There is no room service. The free shuttle bus to Alona Beach does not start til 1030 - far too late, especially if we wanted to avoid the free breakfast which wasn't very good. A perfectly awful end to our honeymoon. I shall be demanding a full refund from Expedia. They should never have listed this hotel.

Great hotel. Highly recommended.
Newly opened Dec 18. Spacious rooms. Very comfortable beds. Good air-conditioning. Luxurious towels. Large pool and plenty of sun lounges with umbrellas. Tasty food reasonable prices. Very friendly staff. Free shuttle to Alona beach. The only negative is the location with lots of development taking place, noise and pollution.

Nice hotel but can improve in alot of areas.. upon check in since we booked twin room we expect they wont charged us with extra person coz we are not asking for additional bed since we are three a couple and senior they explain to us that the 1 thousand per day for the 3rd person is for the breakfast we ask them not to since she’s already a senior she have her strict diet but they charge us anyway..they should give an option to their guest whether to avail or not. Go back to the room facility its nice but the bed is realy for single person, they provided the toileteries except for sleepers it must be nice if they have! Its nice they are environmental friendly but the shower temp is difficult to adjust most of the time its so hot! And the sink water is irritating because u need to press it again and again since its will stop fast upon pressing also the aircon will stop when u open the sliding door so if u want to keep your room temp u need to close it i think u cant conserve energy from that! Anyway what i love is that the room we booked is there is pool access right accross your doorstep! The AC though its stop alot of times when u open the sliding door when u go to the pool its in good working condition since they are a new hotel u can really see and feel all are still in good shape! Though its 10-15mins away from the beach they provide a free lift going to alona beach and also free airport shuttle! The hotel is also 7mins drive from the airport!

Thank you for your response. In every facility its common to allow only kids below 12 years for free in a room since all persons are also entitled for the free breakfast as well as the usage of all services we offer. I believe, that should not be an issue. Since we are applying for ANAHAW certification (to become an environmental friendly Establishment) we need to take care of our consumption of water, electricity and waste reduction. We hope this is understandable, since we all have only one World, we want to protect. Regarding your sink forcet issue, we will adjust the time to run it the maximum time of 30 seconds. Beside of that, when the push bottom gets pushed again within this time frame, the time starts new to run. But we will make this functionality clear with an additional description in the bathroom.

Unique property near Alona
Very nice, eco friendly hotel. All rooms have balconies. Very unique theme and layout. My only drawbacks was the lack of a minibar and the fact that I couldn’t move two twin beds together to make a larger bed. However, I would definitely stay a gain. Staff was incredibly friendly and helpful! Alona Beach is short ride away from hotel

Lovely for a short stay
The staff were very friendly and helpful. The food served especially the sizzling sisig was great! Our room was very lovely and comfortable with easy access to the pool. We were able to get a free airport shuttle to and from the place. Free shuttle was available to Alona beach and tricycles were accessible!

Hôtel sympa, belle et très grande piscine Chambre agréable, lit confortable mais juste un simple drap pour se couvrir. La Clim est bruyante. Nous avions pris avec petit déjeuner inclus… très déçu c était juste 2 tranches de pain, beurre confiture et café ! On avais faim ! Il fallait payer en plus si on voulais fruits, pancake etc …. Pas correct quand on book un hôtel et ajoute l option avec petit déjeuner inclus ! Sinon c est agréable d’y passer 2/3 jours
