Lost Iguana Resort and Spa
10/10 Excellent
"It was settled in right next to the Mistico Hanging Bridges, super cool rainforest location. The breakfast had a wide range of fruit and choices. Ate in the restaurant for two dinners and the food wasn’t cheap but decent value given the quality. The rooms were nice with a balcony that opened up looking at the Arena Volcano with no end to f birds ripping around. Loved our stay"
"The thermal pools were amazing, the staff was friendly and attentive, beds were comfortable and the included breakfast buffet was fantastic. Our jr suite, which was room 222 had an epic view of the volcano, and we so so many birds right from our roon. WiFi was terrible, and the jr suite which we stayed in was dated, and had a vanity with a terrible stool instead of a desk, which would have been ideal."

"Wonderful place to stay in La Fortuna! The location made everything we did easy to get to. Evelyn and the other staff were so friendly and helpful. Couldn't ask for a better breakfast buffet every morning! "
"The rooms and the hot springs are truly amazing, one of a kind.
The food and beverages are also top of the line.
Friendly, helpful staff make the stay one of a kind fabulous"
"pools were very nice and easy to get around. if you get put at the top of the property the shuttle can be a bit of a nuisance, leaving the pools we would just go to reception to ask for the shuttle back up to our room. "
The welcoming destination of Palma is a good choice if you've been considering a getaway with your children. The recreation options, volcano viewpoints and zip-lining are just some of the things that make this a good destination for family holidays. Arrange a flight into La Fortuna (FON-Arenal), which is the closest airport, or San José (SJO-Juan Santamaría Intl.), which is located 48 mi (77.3 km) from the city centre.
