"I’d read bad reviews after booking so I was very worried. But we got a basic, decent chalet in a good location. It was quiet and safe. It needs a deep clean, mould on curtains, and cobwebs everywhere, but everything else was very clean. It was fine for the price we paid. Sykes cottages manage this chalet, but it’s Atlantic Bays reception, and they won’t know anything about your booking. We hadn’t been told our chalet number so couldn’t go to it until I’d rung Sykes (who didn’t have it on their system either) and waited for them to call the owner and call me back. Signal is poor so that was worrying. Find your chalet number before you arrive. WiFi isn’t free, you pay per device, but our chalet had good enough signal to use our phones. We were only given one roll of toilet paper, and no toiletries or oil/salt etc. I would have no problem staying here again, for a budget trip."
