The Lion Hotel Shrewsbury

8/10 Good

"Beautiful building, a little tired and in need of some love but seeped in history, seamless check in, helpful staff, room was extremely clean, very comfy bed and a good nights sleep, tea and coffee facilities in room also, spacious and clean bathroom with nice fluffy white towels, furniture in keeping with the period of the hotel, fabulous location, on site car park and value for money, would stay here again"

The Mill Hotel & Spa

10/10 Excellent

"Hotel in a good location, easy access to different parts of Chester. Close to the canals and the wall for nice walks. Nice rooms, with coffee and tea supplied, nice large bathroom, beds very comfortable, and rooms cleaned every day. Breakfast was excellent, help yourself to cereals, fresh fruit, yoghurts and full english, plus coffee, tea and juices. All staff are very welcoming, pleasant and helpful. Great bar area to relax and have a drink and chat after having a nice day around Chester. Also has Sky Sports on, if you want to watch. Also ample parking right outside. Can't think of anything bad about this hotel. Have stayed here many times over the years and will be returning soon. Thanks for an enjoyable stay."

The Queen at Chester Hotel - Handwritten Collection

10/10 Excellent

"The room was spacious and spotless with a really comfy bed. Check in staff were friendly and pleasant. The only minor downside was the corridors weren't cleared of plates and glasses from room service in other rooms, the same mess was there our entire stay."

White Lion Royal Hotel

10/10 Excellent

"Room was huge so was the bathroom plenty of room for the whole family and fury friends if you have them! Beds were comfortable and clean everything provided for a lovely stay. Sunday roast and other foods were beautiful and yummy. Would stay again for sure, reception staff were amazing and offered up gluten free options and places we could eat when they had stopped serving when we arrived, lovely little town. Everything you’d need. Local shop, coffee shop, pub’s, restaurants and a tiny petrol station all within the same high street that’s less than a mile long. Great value for money 🌟"

Buckatree Hall Hotel

8/10 Good

"Hotel is out of the way and on a one way system, but managed to navigate. Arrived during a party so spaces in the car park were limited. Also arrived to find signs about ANPR parking. When asked about it, was told the cameras hadn’t been fitted (signs up 3 days early) and there was nothing about a change on the property info. Staff were pleasant and the room was decent. I read reviews about issues with the ‘balcony’. We got a balcony, it’s old but safe. Lovely view, but I could see an issue being a lower level balcony room and insects, but we were on the top floor. Would stay again if in the area."
