It was shockingly poor standard to be a 5 star hotel. Tiny, old, ripped cushion covers on the bed, on single duvet spread in the middle of a double sofa bed - that was very uncomfortable - we took the madrass off and lay it on the floor and asked for an extra madrass topper - which they didn't have, and came with a single madrass protector, and a duvet that we lay on top of the madrass. We also had to ask for the second duvet as they had only given us three - we were four people staying. The bathroom was dusty, the toilet had a few bodily hairs. The soaps they provided were awful, left your hands with a sort of plastic layer. The spa staff were extremely rude to my daughter, it made her cry and she actually wanted to leave the hotel - they were that rude. The rest of the staff hotel were very pleasant though. The spa is nothing special - just a normal little pool with two saunas. The breakfast was in three slots and had a waiting line of at least 20 minutes, the coffee was sour and awful, they had no tea (despite them offering a "high tea" which I have also had and won't be doing again - mainly because they cannot make tea. It would be classed as a very poor High Tea by British standards) The room did not have a luggage stand, nor did it have any information about emergency exits or fire extinguishers. The checkout was at 11.00 am. The good thing this hotel has going for it, is the location. It was ridiculously overpriced. Unfortunately it did not live up to expectations.
