There was construction on the road in front of the hotel and construction of space outside our room window. We were awaken by hammering, etc. the first morning right outside the window at approximately 7 am. The hotel offset this by providing a free breakfast for us. Nice gesture!

This hotel is very basic and you pay for what you get. The room was a good size but they only clean every 4 days and if you want clean towels before that you have to pay extra. The bed was pretty uncomfortable and I woke up with a lot of back pain. I wish there was at least a kettle in the room because I drink a tea at night before bed but I had to go down to one level below the lobby just to get use a communal kettle they kept there. There is a lot of construction around and the location isn’t terrible but it could be better. Overall this hotel is okay and Oslo is expensive so if you’re on a budget then it’s a good choice but if you can splurge a bit I would stay elsewhere next time.

Great wifi and areas to work that are quiet. No air conditioning in the room made the nights hard to sleep and not all rooms have a desk apparently despite the photos showing desks.

We stayed 2 nights in May at Comfort Hotel Xpress Youngstorget and found it an excellent base for our trip to Oslo. We were able to walk easily to and from Oslo S station as well as key areas we wanted to visit, and there are lots of cafes, bars and restaurants nearby. It was comfortable and clean, and even though it's basic it provided everything we needed. Our only complaints are that there was no kettle/tea/coffee provided in the room, and that an extra set of pillows would have been nice - but we're English so it may just be culture difference!
