"This was a nice little hotel. The check in staff was very friendly, the bed was quite comfortable, and our stay was very peaceful. The only negative was that the wallpaper in the bathroom was peeling a bit."

"Room was clean. No phone to call front desk for assistance. No directions available to explain electronics, where the ice machine was located? Necessitated three trips to speak with the front desk personnel. Lighting was poor, switches that did not work, or no switches, two receptacles with no light bulbs. I did find it ironic to find a travel magazine showcasing the amenities of Topeka, KS. in the room."

"There was a delay in checking in because there was no hostess. "Away for a minute!" Then I didn't realize the place had no elevators! So we had to get a main floor room with a king bed and a tub because I'm an amputee and in a wheelchair. After several minutes, they came up with a room for us. Well, it was on the main floor, just inside the door from my car; and there was the king bed and a tub! However, the bathroom was really small: hardly could get my wheelchair in to sit on the toilet! Oh, the toilet was from at least the 1970s: small with a small seat that was more than just loose, it almost threw me off when it slipped to side! Then, there was only one partial roll of toilet tissue! We ran out second (departure) day. Used box of facial tissue to finish job. Wait, I left out 2 big things: bed & dresser drawers were so close I couldn't get wheelchair through to the bathroom. They were quick to come down and slightly move dresser drawers. Then we realized there was no mini-fridge or microwave, but staff got ones for us. Put them on top bed stand next to wife's side of bed. The staff was very accommodating -- but it's weird we even had to worry about the issues. Place looks like it's from the 1970s, and our room looked it. Our outside door was marred and the lighting inside was poor. Room was really narrow and old. One picture was of a more modern part of motel, not the old larger part. I doubt we would have booked for over $90 a night for 2 nights if seen real place."

"Refrigerator was very loud, toilet handle had to be held down for 15 seconds to flush properly, microwave light was broken, walls are pretty thin, and the room would reek of weed every few hours. Amenities are very outdated and not very well maintained. The door handle didn’t work when we tried to get in and the manager had to help us, because apparently sometimes it only works if you turn the handle up. The central and lower floors don’t have a view of the lake. Managers were helpful, but the hotel was not the most pleasant experience and mostly only gave a roof over our heads."

"The front desk found a way to get us a first floor room because my mother is handicap and not able to use stairs. *No Elevator* Our room smelled like mold and had cobwebs in every corner. It also did not have a fridge. * It was sitting outside the room broken* I had to go to the desk to get toilet paper because there was none. I really thought highly of the man for helping us out, so I did not complain."
