We were looking for a property situated in middle of Bay of Islands area..... We found this one and was a bit concerned at how low the price was. Pleasantly surprised, rustic outside, impeccable inside, very.clean and all facilities needed, we stayed three nights and highly recommend.

We booked this accommodation because it was described as a "country lodge" at Kerikeri. Neither was really correct. The motel was in a very remote location - hard to find on the maps because it is not at Kerikeri. It was a very old motel that the current owners may be trying to rescue but at the moment it is wrong to describe it as a "lodge".

The Country Lodge was perfect for a base for our trip. The staff were really friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and comfortable. Nice firm bed. Good area to sit outdoors. Our room was very clean. There is road noise but it didn’t bother us at all.

Interesting themed accommodation. Friendly owner. Comfortable spacious unit apart from beds which were a little lumpy. Kitchen stovetop and some of the other minor points need upgrading. Horse, goats, sheep and pigs in paddock made us laugh. Pleasant stay. Thank you for your service.

I travel a lot in the type of business that I have and probably spend on average one week a month in a Motel or Hotel. My stay in the Bay of Islands Country Lodge, was without doubt the worst experience I have ever had! The bed was not made, the dishes were not washed and for the last 3 days the soap dispenser in the shower had no soap.I have never previously booked through nz.hotels.com and after that experience I never will again. I was very dissapointed.

Very good location

Very good location for all Bay of Islands attractions and tours. Situated approximately halfway between Paihai and Kerikeri. Only minor complaint was very close to the highway, so some traffic noise.
