"The location of this resort was excellent. The large room had a beautiful view of the beach which was easily accessible. The beach is fabulous for walking on. There are no groceries or restaurant on site. However, within 15 minutes of driving, you have everything you need. This place really is perfect for a very self-sufficient. Stay on a beautiful beach. It is very relaxing and quiet."

"Amazing location and accommodation. The only thing to note is the drive up to the apartment. Itโs high up and my husband is afraid of heights. Once you have done it , it gets fine lol but itโs so worth it. Breakfast is served in the apartment and the beds were perfect. Great two nights and loved every minute of it."

"We had a fantastic stay at Moonshine! From the moment we arrived, Carol made us feel incredibly welcome and well taken care of. The space was clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully set up, with great attention to detail that really made the experience special. We are visiting South Africa for the first time from Canada on the Garden Route and Carolโs space reminded us of a home away from home. Our 3 kids absolutely loved the pool, the bunk beds, and the hike, it made the trip even more memorable for our whole family. The atmosphere was relaxing and exactly what we were looking for, and Carol was always helpful, responsive, and genuinely warm. You can tell a lot of care has gone into creating a great guest experience. We truly enjoyed our time and would absolutely recommend Moonshine to anyone looking for a memorable stay. Looking forward to coming back again!"

"Lovely staff, singling out Carmen and Felicia for special compliments! Food and service were good. Our room was spacious and comfortable. The views from the main lodge were outstanding. The pool was much warmer than our last visit in September 2004! We found Hog Hollow had lost a little of its rustic charm and was more like a hotel. "

"Beautiful peaceful, unique grounds and pool. Staff were all super friendly, helpful and gave recommendations for the area. The food and drink in the evening were slightly more expensive than we had paid elsewhere but was definitely worth it and was so convenient to just walk through the gardens to the restaurant each evening. A great base for Nature Valley and the Tsitsikamma Park. The only minor things were that the air con wasnโt working in the room but didnโt bother us as we had cool nights with rain and also the WiFi in the room was slow or dropped out but other than that we had a great time and would definitely recommend staying here. "
