"This hotel was just amazing. From the building itself, to the rooms, to the staff, the pool and especially the food in the restaurant. Definitely the highlight of our motorcycle trip. Safe off-road parking too which was a plus. Previous reviewers complained about the road up to the hotel (absolutely fine - just a normal road) and the wi-fi (worked perfectly plus good 4G signal). I would be hard put to find anything to complain about this stunning oasis. All the staff were perfectly polite and friendly. Thank you especially to Silla who was an absolute pleasure to deal with and so helpful. She was always smiling even though she seemed to be there from breakfast until after evening dinner. If you are reading this review - just book it - you will not regret it."

"The property is out in the quiet countryside about 15 minutes from a small town with restaurants, etc. The hotel itself provides breakfast and you can have dinner there as well for an additional price which is very reasonable. It has a beautiful large pool and is nice overall for relaxing. A wonderful, quiet getaway."

"Fantastic location, incredible views. Quiet & peaceful, a perfect place to relax. Welcoming, helpful reception staff. Bar & restaurant felt understaffed at dinner time as service in both was slow (more a management issue as the staff present were clearly working hard). Kids menu available in restaurant only. Would visit again."

"Precioso lugar para hospedarse. La habitación es muy cómoda y agradable. Desayuno muy bueno. Cenar en el hotel, fue un poco lento pero vale la pena la espera la comida fue riquísima. Las personas que trabajan son todas muy agradables. La piscina exterior un oasis en el medio de la ciudad. El spa de lujo, piscina, sauna , masajes. Todo el lugar de maravilla. Daba pena irse."

"Excellent hotel in Covilhã, we visit Covilhã every couple of months for medical reasons, there are two hotels that we use, both with pools, depending upon the price at the time. This time it was Donna Marie. Excellent as always, everything works, is clean, and relaxing. The pool area is incredible, a good sized indoor pool, poolside recliners, jacuzzi and shower. The outdoor area is really cool Lots of recliners and squishy chairs & sofas with parasols ☺️ Very good breakfast buffet, the fried eggs are cooked to perfection 😋 Lots of breads, meats, eggs, veg, puddings & desserts, three coffee machines, and a yoghurt machine ! Plus free parking and its close to the centre of Covilhã 殺"
