This was one of those places that is a pleasant surprise, not because of anything major, but because everything is done well, and without fuss or annoyance. The staff are friendly and helpful without being intrusive or overbearing, the hotel is clean and well maintained in both private and public areas. The food is good and the location is convenient for both local facilities and travel further afield.

This Hotel is a family run business with a focus on hospitality and friendliness. The room was adequate for what we wanted but was old fashioned with a small balcony. Everything else about this hotel was exceptional, the pool area, the breakfast, the cuisine all 5 star. Then you walk out of the pool area into the very well kept gardens and the ponds. Lovely family stay! We had a wonderful stay at Quinta dos Perfumes. The room was spacious and the bed was big enough for the two of us and our 2-year-old. We loved the beautiful swimming pools surrounded by orange trees, and the bikes with a child seat were a great touch — we enjoyed cycling to the nearby town. Very high standard of service. Simple but high quality rooms with extremely comfortable 5 star standard beds, pillows and sheets. The restaurant is surprisingly good and they cater for gluten intolerances. You can use the beach shuttle from the Hilton across the road to the gorgeous Falesia beach with beach club. The hotel was exactly as it appeared in the advertising and didn't disappoint. Staff were friendly and helpful and our room was beautifully appointed and clean. Started in a 2 bedroom apartment overlooking the swimming pool. The apartments are great. Good points: Lots of space, an extremely well equipped kitchen, clean, largeTV & a DVD player, apartments generally finished to a high standard, no shortage of sun loungers at pool, secure car park, good wifi. Bad points: very few but little sun on balcony if overlooking the pool, only 1 sun lounger on balcony, hard beds.

The hotel was comfortable, clean and bright. It's main 'attraction' for me was not the waterpark, (which is included in the price and is excellent), but it's staff. They rescued us by sending my daughter's mobile phone in a taxi, to the airport when we realised two hours before departure that she had unfortunately left it in the room! This was a great hotel apartment with excellent facilities, particularly those travelling with young children. The apartment had a modern kitchen, huge dining/living area, bedroom for the kids with their own toilet/shower and a master on-suite bedroom. Plus a decent balcony overlooking the pool. The staff were on the whole friendly and spoke good English. The facilities were very good, with plenty of sunbeds around the pool and an indoor heated pool for young children
