"Most facilities especially the onsen are old and worn-out. Don't understand while open air onsen closed in winter which is what we most enjoyed. Another thing we don't understand is the hotel charged extra 50 yen for using the hot spring (on top of the 150 yen tax) Breakfast is terrible. Surely will not book again."

"Hostel was not at the location provided in listing but 1.1 km away from the lake. Self-check in was fin but hostel was run down with many lights not working, cobwebs in hallways. Rooms were booked with private bathrooms but there was no private bathrooms. Bathrooms were communal and there was no shower just sinks with buckets. Sheets were clean but rooms had broken a/c, smelled of fumigation but there were still bugs, broken drawers and lights. It was the worst hostel I have stayed in. We booked...
