Take some time out to wander the beautiful, old-fashioned streets of this compact little town and enjoy the peace and quiet it offers. See a wide range of wonderful sights including an impressive castle, a tranquil lagoon and a well-preserved 12th-century church.
Enter Óbidos via the stunning Porta da Villa, a grand gateway to the city that features beautiful blue and white tiles that are hundreds of years old. Follow the historic Óbidos Town Wall to get a sense of the size of the town. As you walk, pause often to take photos of the wonderful views across the red rooftops and winding cobbled lanes of the town.
