Top Northeastern Ontario Hotel Reviews

Radisson Hotel Sudbury

Radisson Hotel Sudbury

8/10 Good
"Enjoyed our stay. The pool was big and very deep. Great breakfast served buffet style in the attached restaurant. The parking was an issue as there are very few street spots. There is a parking garage around the corner with access through the mall and directly to the hotel which sounds great. Over the weekend, the mall and parking garage doors are locked meaning the only access to the parking garage is up the ramp. The Hotel did not share this so it was a lot of walking to figure out how to access the garage in a downtown area with a heavy homelessness and drug presence."

"Clean large rooms, friendly staff. Pool room was showing lots of wear, next to no chairs and only one table for such a large pool. Hot tub was covered and unusable. The pool area definitely needs immediate TLC. But otherwise great hotel in excellent location."

The Grand Tappattoo Resort, an Ascend Collection Resort

The Grand Tappattoo Resort, an Ascend Collection Resort

8/10 Good
"We stayed at the Grand Tappattoo for 4 days and 3 nights and it was pretty comfortable. The resort is easily accessible and surrounded by tall trees and lakes adding to the quite and serenity of nature. The rooms were simple, spacious and were cleaned on demand. The staff was very helpful as well. We had a few issues on the first night of our stay and they acted on it promptly. We had access to kayaks and canoes all day long which added big time to the fun and relaxing stay, To our surprise, there was provision for bonfire at night and we had a good time watching the sunset. The breakfast was included with our stay (which is not a common find in the area), but items on the menu were mostly on repeat. Not many options for vegans and vegetarians. The pool was sadly closed for renovation during our stay and opened on our last day, which was unfortunate. Overall, a nice resort to spend a long weekend with family to unwind and reconnect with nature. I would recommend this place for a family with kids and grandparents."
