This is a lovely hotel if you want to get away from the hustle and bustle if every day life. There is no bar or restaurant on site. But owners are happy for you to bring your own alcohol to drink. And they recommended an excellent restaurant. All in all a great stay.

What a fantastic place to stay! I highly recommend, especially if staying in suite #151. Great pool, washing facilities and a lovely continental breakfast.

Check in was a bit weird, the guy at the desk seemed inconvenienced by us being there (same guy at check out, completely different attitude - it was like day & night!)
The room was great - clean & spacious. Breakfast was decent.
Best thing about the property was the lake view! Absolutely stunning. And so close to the beach.
Not much else to do in Oscoda than the beach, but definitely worth the trip if you get the weather.

The hotel was excellent but it does look newly built. Kevin on reception was extremely helpful when it was apparent the computer workstations had been broken by another guest. He helped me print some much needed documents from his own PC. Breakfast was fine. We were only staying one night and we wouldn't hesitate to stay again. Alpena overall wasn't our favourite place on our current tour.
