Adirondack Retreat Inn & Suites

"We really enjoyed our stay. It is by no means a luxury hotel. The rooms are a bit out dated and older, but were exceptionally clean. The beds were very comfy but the full size be is definitely smaller than a normal full. My husband and I slept separately because it would’ve been very uncomfortable to share one bed. If traveling as a family be mindful of that. The only thing that was really terrible were the towels. They are so small and very thin. We pretty much used two towels every time we showered because they were just so tiny. And they don’t provide pool towels as far as I know (none in pool area that I could find) so we had to go back and ask for extra bath towels at the desk. But the pool was very clean and at night with no kids around it was really peaceful. Other than that we think everything was great for the price. Within walking distance to everything, short drive to Bolton landing. Great for people who don’t plan to stay in the room all day. We would stay again!"

"Everything was good except the chef we love there we were told quit three weeks ago. The food we all had was over cooked. Chicken Marsala had no mushrooms. Disappointed."

"Great location, despite being next to the road, it was quiet. Pool was not in working condition but we used the Schroon Lake instead. So didn’t feel we are missing something. We liked our stay and plan to come again. The owner was very helpful."

"Beautiful spot, right on lake with some options for use of kayaks, paddleboards. Nice pool as well. Rooms were very clean, if a little dated, but our suite was large and accommodated us well. Staff was helpful, friendly, and welcoming. Would come back!"

"Clean comfortable room, wonderful staff, awesome amenities and fantastic pool/lakeside Cabana bar! One improvement would be food...not horrible just needs to be better. We had multiple instances of cold food ..but honestly that is the only negative we can think of! We will absolutely stay here again!"

"I had a pleasant stay at the hotel, the room and bathroom were spotless, and the staff provided outstanding customer service. While the corridors and stairs could benefit from some maintenance and the soda and ice machines could be updated, these were minor issues. overall, I would recommend this hotel to others."
