"Planned a trip with a wonderful to be stay here but they overbooked the rooms and when I arrived from overseas was sent to a much lesser hotel by them. Manager seems like he couldn’t wait to get us out of there and was very condescending. Can’t stand Hamburg now because they ruined our visit. We were there to sightsee and to have a hotel within walking distance to the Central Station-where they sent us was in the suburbs with no sightseeing places. Terrible place now and I won’t ever recommend."

"No hot water.... cold shower and cold wash, was not inclined to have breakfast thereafter. A basic response from receptionist re hot water, with no offer to compensate, left the hotel feeling unwelcomed and poor customer service For such a prestigious hotel, we expected a better experience. We won't be returning here. Poor "

"Clean room and large but breakfast was absolute chaos. The space was far too small for the number of people that were there. You couldn’t move around without bumping into people or have them bump into you. I could sit without people hovering over me and the queue to go and get your own coffee was so long (as it was for the food) that I just gave up and went out for breakfast (effectively paying twice). Extremely poor breakfast experience despite the aesthetics being quite nice and at other times the communal space is very pleasant."
