"The Toshogu Shrine and Shinto Bridge are within walking distance. There are multiple restaurants within walking distance for lunch, including a Lawsons! They have a free shuttle to and from the train station, what a nice accommodation. The rooms were spacious and clean. The onsen was clean and also has an outdoor onsen! The food was delicious and they different each night and breakfast! I highly recommend this ryokan and I would definitely come back here when visiting Nikko!"

"This spot was amazing all the way around. Like others have said given that it is a journey to get to, spend at least 2 nights. It was the perfect spot to slow down and relax. The food is amazing whether in the fancy dining room or in the cafe. The onsens overlooking nature and the waterfall were spectacular. Staff member April really made our stay great given her recommendations, explaining and teaching about local cuisines offered. The service is 5 star. I’d definitely return !! "

"Nice new building & modern rooms, friendly staff, convenient and free parking. Walkable from the train station but is uphill and not very close (probably not a good idea with bags). The property offers free transfers from the station, but only hourly and just a few times a day - I would not consider this a negative though given the hotel is affordable and taxi rides are cheap. "The Yunomori onsen ryokan was one of the best places I've ever stayed at. The Kaiseki breakfast and dinner was incredible and the staff were 10/10 amazing. We had an in-room onsen and it was perfect. The entire place was clean and incredibly cozy. I would absolutely recommend Yunomori to anybody! It's a short walk to Yuno Lake nearby and also some beautiful waterfalls. I highly recommend this place to stay in Nikko. It was a very special experience for us. "
