"The staff was exceptional. The location and setting was exceptional. But some things were substandard. Breakfast was boring and same every day. Eg no croissants or breakfast pastries, only bread for toast. No cheese or cold meat or fish selection. No variety of fruits. Rooms were spacious but… no closet, no hangers. No place to hang clothes, no place to hang wet towels and bathing suits. Huge balcony with a tiny two-seater couch with no cushions. No cushions on the indoor couch either. A little attention to deal would go a long way - no tea bags in room. No wine glasses. "

"Overall, the resort was amazing. I’ll start with the positives. It is a small, adults only resort. No line-ups, quick service, easy to navigate, etc. the rooms are large and spacious, with the toilet in a separate area on its own (nice feature). The AC worked great, there was a water machine in the room, and the balcony was spacious as well. One bartender in particular (at the pool bar) was amazing. When we tried to tip him separately, he wouldn’t accept it and put it in the tip jar saying, “We are a team.” The beach is nice and only a 30 minute walk into Sámara (cabs are available too). A few minor annoyances…the food options were very limited and the food was hit or miss. Some days it was really good and other days it was just meh. The room wasn’t completely cleaned every day - we couldn’t rely on coffee or fridge being replenished, and glassware wasn’t cleaned regularly either. Many workers only spoke broken English and didn’t understand us. Hindsight, we should have used a translation app. Finally, there was not a monkey to be seen. That was probably the most disappointing for us lol. Despite that, it was an amazing vacation. "

"This could be an amazing hotel with a bit of work, but for the price, it wasn’t bad. The location was excellent, right in the beach a 5 minutes walk to town with a nice restaurant next door. Breakfast was included and was good, not many choices but very good. The pool was clean and very large, enough chairs for everyone and the gardens were excellent. The balcony on my room was huge with a view of pool ocean and gardens.bed was firm and pillows were perfect. For improvement- no mattress cover and thin sheets, towels small, not a lot of drawer space. Bathroom had a no room for toiletries, had a mirror but no ac, would have been nice to have a mirror in the main area of room with the ac. Would definitely stay again and recommend for travellers who don’t expect 4-5 stars"

"There was a patio, however, there was no furniture or table. Under the kitchen sink smelled terribly they tried to fix it, but just masked it with a fragrance."

"We arrived hours earlier than check-in and were able to get our room pretty quickly. The front desk staff were very helpful and kind. The room was spacious and clean and we really appreciated the pool on those hot days. Samara is quite small, so we were able to walk to everything."

"As this property is currently For Sale, there are a few areas that could be better serviced. The pool is lovely, the loungers not so much. The Guiones area in general is going thru tremendous "gentrification" (construction) with much turnover of businesses and escalated prices on everything. It would be paradise if they could limit the motorized vehicles - but that is highly unlikely to happen. Progress has eaten up another beautiful spot. "
