Very good value for money. My room was immaculate. Bedding clean and soft. Huge superking bed. Lovely towels. Breakfast was 11.50€ buffet style and was really good. Croissant, cheeses, hams, cereals, friut salad and yoghurt, toast and fresh bread. Full range of hot chocolate, coffee, tea and juices. Staff so nice, so helpful. This a safe area too. Would definitely stay again. Check in and check out times tight but i was able to store luggage safely.

The hotel was in a good area close to the tram. The staff was very nice at the hotel. However one thing I did not know is they do not clean your room. I guess no housekeeping? You can ask for fresh towels but after 4-5 days a nice bed turndown would be nice

Cheap and not cheerful.
We'll start with the good; the reception staff are excellent. The internet worked well. After that it's all downhill. The beds are incredibly uncomfortable, with mattresses that should have been changed years ago. Instead there is a thin mattress topper that just makes things worse. We all left with a bad back. Housekeeping is once every 4 days. Cheap and not very cheerful.

I really enjoyed this property. I’m a female solo traveler so I didn’t want to spend so much money on a hotel but I also didn’t want to compromise my safety or the area I was going to stay in. Everything is close, train station 10 minute walk rue Bonaparte street 8 minute walk… old town and place massena 20 minute walk the beach was also pretty close walking distance. The breakfast they offered was great as well and they had a little mini bar service where you can buy snacks water sodas etc… at any time. the room was just very hot and I was sweating in my sleep but it’s summer in Europe so that’s normal. Also at night they closed the doors so you had to call through the call box to get in which I really liked bc as a solo traveler you never know about creeps following you and I liked the extra security. Staff was friendly and helpful. Extra towels you just ask and go downstairs go get them and they clean the room I think every 3-4 days I stayed there a week. One last thing… the water pressure in this hotel was phenomenal wow 10/10! Thank you guys for everything I had a great time

Location was perfect walking distance between the tram and the Promenade. Great hotel for the price, rooms were clean and staff super friendly. The parking garage was tight for big cars, and the breakfast (although cheap) was not good.

It was nice and easy to check in and directions to a car park with access directly to the lobby was super easy (additional Charge) the room was basic. No fridge or even glasses were available. The room and corridor had definitely seen better days and need a refresh. However the location was super easy to the restaurants nearby and the Harbour. We probably wouldn’t stay again, not because it was bad, but we prefer the little extras other hotels offer.

Lovely budget hotel with lovely helpful staff. Room was clean but not cleaned unless you pay extra during stay, this didn't cause us any issues. Towels can be obtained from reception. Breakfast good value and tasty

Enjoyable stay
Staff were very helpful and friendly. We would have liked to have coffee making facilities in the room but this didn't spoil the stay. Bed was not comfortable so that would be worth looking at. A good location to explore Nice and beyond.

AVOID ALL ALL COSTS. Room was dirty, sheets had a footprint on them. Room is about a quarter of the size you see in the picture, very dark, very unwelcoming. Looks out over backs of other buildings. Very ugly. Location not very good, near the port, but in a maze of streets hard to navigate. Can't get cell phone reception, and there was no wifi. Hotel refused to refund my money. I am travelling for 3 months and need wifi to research and write. I walked right out and did not stay. I would have been miserable. Booked one night at Best Western Roosevelt until I could make other arrangements. Expedia was not supportive.

Dear Madam Seus,We have received and read the review you wrote on Expedia and would like to clarify the situation once more and have the opportunity to have both sides of the situation available online.On the 04th of May, you checked in our establishment at 3:45pm. After your check-in, you stayed in your room for a few hours and didn't come to the reception to mention any problem that you would have encountered in your room;We indeed had a global WIFI break affecting several hotels in the area on that day. Those events are rare, but can happen, and the situation was solved by the WIFI provider at 20:17, which means the break lasted exactly 45 minuts. We would also like to remind that the WIFI in our hotel is a free service. You came down to the reception when the WIFI break had started (which is almost 4 hours after you checked in), stating that you didn't like the room you were in. Our receptionnist asked you about details and asked you if she could come with you in the room to see the problems and find a solution, which you refused. The room you have occupied is a standard double room of 15 meters square, exactly as shown on all pictures on internet, some of them are pictures taken by a professionnal photographer, some of them are pictures taken by other customers who have stayed here and are free to post their pictures online. The minimum room size in France, in 3 stars hotels is 13.50meters. As you could see online, we are a 2 stars hotels, though our standard double rooms are 15 meters square, which is way above the standards of the category of hotels we belong to. The room you occupied, room 411 is a room on a high floor overlooking our private garden and terrasse. Our hotel is located in Riquier area. We are 9 minuts away by feet from the port of Nice (one street to walk down, no turns), 9 minuts from Place Garibaldi (one of the two main squares of the city, but also the entrance of the historical center), and 7 minuts away from the train station Nice Riquier. We are also 5 minuts away from the tramway stop "Acropolis / République" (one street to walk, no turns), and this tramway line brings you everywhere in town (Place Massena, Old town...)Our reception team has been at your disposal all the time but you refused to explain or show any problem that you said you've had in the room and decided to leave and stay in a 4 stars hotel instead which might suit your expectations better.I was, and still remain, at your disposal for any further exchange on this matter.Best regards

This hotel was great, the room was very clean and spacious. There are alot of attractions in walking distance and public transportation is very easy to find.

Middle of the town. Easy access to everything
Very convenient place for the people who are traveling by train. 5 minute walk from the train station. Hotel was very clean , breakfast was very nice. Even though everything was good we had an issue with our mattress which was not addressed properly. Mattress was low on one side than the other and it was also very soft on one side. Manager came to have a look at it she just grabbed it with the hands on both sides and said it's okay. I told her that when you lay down on the mattress it goes down and it's not comfortable for the back but her response was what can I do. They could have changed our room.

Dear Gurupdesh,We have received your review after your stay with us and we would like to thank you for mentionning the location of the hotel and the selection available for breakfast!We're not hidding our surprise regarding the mattress experience you are talking about in this review. Having checked the room myself, I would like to add precisions having the impression that some elements are not fully provided and not at all reflecting the service that has been provided to you.You have mentioned to the reception desk during your stay that you had the impression that one side of your mattress was being lower than the other. My colleague reported it and I went to check the room myself but couldn't see any side or any part of the surface being lower. I asked my colleague to let me know when you would be back so that we could go and check together and you could show me what the problem was more precisely.We went together inside your room and we have together checked the mattress topper that we agreed wasn't being lower on any side. After that, I have pushed away the topper in order to see the mattress that we also checked, but it didn't show any default. I have them pushed away the mattress to check the bedspring and there wasn't any problem either with it or any of its slats. You have then showed me that it was actually getting lower when you would seat on the very edge of the topper, which, as we discussed, was accurate but would unfortunately be the same in the other rooms if the weight is not evenly distributed. If you found the bed too soft in general, we could have removed the topper as the mattress itself is harder -which is the solution we provide in this sort of cases-, though I don’t think any back problem has been mentioned nor any issue with the general softness of the topper. I wish this was mentioned when I was with you to answer your questions and requests, but if a room change is the solution you wish had been provided, I would like to add though that we are using the same mattresses and toppers in every room. It’s unfortunate to read about a service that is not reflecting the exchange that we had nor the service that you have been provided, I still remain at your disposal for further exchange, as it was the case during your stay.Regards

An excellent budget hotel. Good facilities for its two star designation. Clean, comfortable rooms, pleasant bar and terrace. Good choice of buffet breakfast. Staff were helpful and welcoming. Hotel well situated for train station and trams and walking distance from the Old Town. Recommended.
