"The location of this hotel is ideal as it is close to the beach and the train station. The staff is always pleasant and ready to serve. The hotel would need a refresh as its age is showing with dated rooms, old carpets in the rooms and common areas, elevators, decor, etc. Although the bed was a king size, the mattress is not comfortable and the air conditioning is not efficient considering the hot weather in Nice. We have been at this hotel in the past and would only return knowing that renovations are completed to truly rate it as a 4-star hotel. If you are planning to stay there, you would need to accept some of the deficiencies during your visit."

"Best thing about this hotel is the location, right on the Promenade des Anglais looking over the water. We had a balcony room with a beautiful view. However it can get a bit loud out on the Promenade (music from street performers and local clubs) and the window wasn't fully soundproof. The place is nice but a little dated, still a good value though if you can handle a little noise."

"Very well located by the "Promenade", as well as the Place Massena/soppinng district and Old Town, all of which within walking distance, this big property is convenient. The rooms are comfortable, but as the hotel in general, they are a little outdated, and would need some kind of modernization. The rooftop has superb views, but again would need some renovation (showers, access, bar etc). The gym is small and under-equipped. The spa was closed when I stayed there... It is overall a good place to stay on a short family or business trip, especially for its location."

"The hotel is beautiful and the amenities are great. Most of the staff was very friendly. There were two instances when walking back into the hotel after a day out that staff members approached and asked me what I was doing there and where I was going. When I stated that I was a guest of the hotel they looked surprised. I guess I don’t look rich enough"

"The rooms and showers are on the smaller side, especially if you’re used to more spacious accommodations in USA. That said, the hotel makes up for it with genuinely friendly and helpful staff who go out of their way to make your stay comfortable. The breakfast is surprisingly good in fact, noticeably better than what many places in the USA offer at a similar level. The location is another advantage, everything you might need is within walking distance, making it easy to explore the area without relying on transportation. Overall, despite the compact room sizes, the service, breakfast quality, and excellent location make this a solid choice."
