A lovely friendly welcome, after a long journey. We booked late as a stop off point. So glad we did, its a great place. Friendly staff, beautiful views. Nothing to fault it at all. If you are near here, please go!
Can't speak highly enough of this hotel. The location is fantastic. The reception area is a little dated, but really nice. The restaurant has been done up recently and is really tasteful and the food was excellent. What really makes this hotel is the staff. They are all extremely welcoming and helpful. We had some issues with the hot water on the first day, which Carly, the General Manager, dealt with in a professional way that showed they really care about customer satisfaction. She also took time to speak to all the guests to make sure they were all happy with their stay. I was also quite impressed that they source everything from local family businesses with the emphasis on sustainability. This was one of my all time most enjoyable hotel stays.
We did have a problem in finding hotel on a dark and rainy night as the satnav took us to Laggan Glamping, a few miles before the hotel. Make sure you do get precise directions with the hotel before arrival!
Once we engaged with a staff member, he apologised for our wait but the hotel has a small team so staff double/treble up at times. If no one is available/around reception for arrivals, they only needed to put up a notice :) as a greeting & where help can be found?
We found out the hotel is seasonal from Apr - mid Oct. It’s in a beautiful location with plenty of walks nearby. Our stay was only 1 night so we didn’t get time to appreciate the abundance of history displayed in paintings & objects. It’s a building extended over time but warmly kept with a mix of traditional fittings and modern innovations which can be a clash to the senses; for us the beds were comfortable & the apparent cleanliness throughout was pleasing.
Exceptional breakfast with table service, do take time to enjoy this!
Hotel staff were pleasant and helpful.
We would return for another visit & hopefully a longer stay to explore this scenic part of Scotland.
Staff were very welcoming / helpful.
Hotel rooms were clean and spacious.
Food and service excellent.
Great view from the games room.

Weekend away in the cairngorms
Lovely setting and very efficient staff, food was great but the hotel needs needs some tlc, I didn’t think we would need to worry about it being too hot in late September but the room was too hot due to a lack of air and despite opening the windows when we could it just felt too stuffy and the bed and pillows made it a uncomfortable 2 night stay
The stay was excellent. The room was spotless and the staff were amazing. All very friendly and efficient. The food was very high quality and reasonably priced. I will definitely stay here again.
Stayed for one night at the start of a trip around the NC500. Great location to explore the Cairngorms national park. Staff were extremely helpful even though short staffed. Great food and bar service. Games room with free pool table. Room key, tv remote both in cellophane when given, also given free mini hand sanitisers.
Great outlook, looking over the hills, the service from all staff was impeccable, we had dinner both nights, and food was great both nights, good well cooked food and very tasty, breakfast was fantastic, overall we had a great two night stay, a big thank you to all staff.
Stayed at the Laggan Hotel for a week while visiting the area. Great location and amazing view! The staff was very friendly and the food was incredible. The room was excellent and clean, we even had our own little lounge area. Would highly recommend this hotel to others.
We stayed here for 3 nights and the hotel was first class. There is an amazing choice at breakfast and it was very good quality.
What sets the Laggan hotel apart is the staff. They really go the extra mile to ensure you are looked after in style.
Extremely comfortable stay. Bed was comfy and the room had everything needed. Evening meal was lovely and breakfast just perfect to set you up for the day. Views were lovely. All staff very helpful and courteous - nothing was too much trouble. Beautifully decorated hotel with the right balance between traditional and modern. Have already recommended to friends and family and would definitely stay again.
Our stay was fantastic. Everything was excellent. The bed was huge and very comfortable. Such q goodnights sleep. The staff were tremendous. Carly, the manager really leads from the front.Really made our stay super special. Tom, Rory and Vivien looked after us for breakfast and dinner. Food is of a very high standard. Can recommend the Haggis Pakora and also the Chicken Balmoral. Just delicious.
The property is so quiet and peaceful. Its a real getaway. Cant wait to return. Nothing better sitting with a cold drink with a view that goes for miles.
This has become our favourite hotel ever! The place was beautiful, the staff were exceptional and made it feel as if we were staying in a£500 a night hotel!
They were attentive but not overly, the food was incredible. We will be going again and missed this hotel as we finished the rest of our tour of Scotland. It was certainly the best place we stayed and so well managed.
