Lovely property very close to Newport Beach Balboa. Rooms are basic but clean and large. The property is very nice with lots of amenities. No complaints for an affordable option!

Extra fees for no reason. I’m already paying a resort fee EACH NIGHT at 40 dollars a pop, THEN pay another 40 dollars to SELF park. That’s ridiculous. Plus where we were at at the hotel barely felt much better than a motel 6. Never again, that’s for sure. (Plus not even complimentary breakfast for what we payed.)

Very good food, catering was exceptional. Overall a fairly clean facility, nice housekeeping staff. Rooms are dated, worn. Lighting is poor. Bed, mattress, pillows are old. Mattress was very hard, flat, uncomfortable. Pillows were old, flat, and super thin. Sheets were scratchy.

I enjoyed the free bike riding for 2 hours. I didn't agree what they charge for parking. $40.00 for self pay and valet parking $47.00. I disagree with a $30.00 glass of wine.

Not the Hyatt name I know specifically being in Newport Beach. Pet fee of $150 did not include anything, not even a water bowl. I have stayed at a four seasons for the same fee and bowls, leashes, snack and water included. Room service was a joke. Food came in to go containers delivered in a brown bag. If we had known, we would have used ubereats. Booked through Expedia and didnt know the resort fees were not included. paying Hyatt price for radison quality doesn't make one feel good. The setting is beautiful. It is shameful that the rooms are old and crusty. Will never stay there again or any Hyatt for that matter.

Our iconic hotel has become known for its expansive grounds, three pools, complimentary golf, tennis and bike rentals, and that is what our resort fee includes. I was never told about the 40.00 per day parking as well as the 40.00 per day service fee. So unknowingly we received a charge of 760.00 on our credit card. Expedia didn’t note these charges either. I will never stay at this Hyatt again or use Expedia again.

The property is well-kept, and the rooms are spacious and clean. The price is great compared to nearest Balboa Bay Resort. So, it is a great alternative for extremely high-priced Balboa Bay. The only thing I did not like, is that they charge $40 per day for parking, plus another $40 per day as Resort Fees. That's $80 per day on top of hotel rooms. That is too much, and that is what cost them 1 star less than a perfect 5. ...

The lobby is gorgeous. All the sitting areas throughout the property are wonderful. The fire pits are especially fun.

They gave us a room someone was in. That was creepy. Then downgraded us to a smaller room because they had no more king size beds. But they did refund us the resort fee if $40

Good amenities and well kept landscape. 3 pools with hot tubs to choose from :) Really nice staff. Downside would be the hefty $40 self parking which is not even convenient- its about 1/4 mile away from some of the rooms! Most people have cars since this is So Cal so this is a bit of a sneaky way to make your room more expensive. Expedia doesn't disclose this. Also, if you plan on using the pullout couch, its VERY uncomfortable. They need new mattresses. Otherwise good hotel.

Overall pretty average for what they charge. Room was clean but the lobby was super far. I got lost so many times. The rooms were cold and they only had one extra blanket to spare. There was also a really loud humming noise and not in a good white noise kind of way in our room, it sounded like we were on a submarine .

The property is beautiful. The staff is very nice. The bed is very comfortable. The parking fees are expensive. Food is ok nothing great. Wish the showers had doors rather than a shower curtain. The flight path is over the property so it can be noisy

This is a strange property if you aren’t in a room near the lobby and restaurant/bar (newly remodeled) It is older and the outer rooms are isolated and the grounds are plain. They had us in a room way out far from anything and anyone, under the stairs, with a hedge two feet out the slider. Pool was old and ugly, concrete was cracked. Self park ($40) is awful, desolate, and a far walk from rooms and lobby. Valet is only $7 more but they don’t tell you. Weird. We eventually were put in a normal room, in the refurbished building by the lobby. We are experienced travelers who treat front desk people well. How disrespectful to return the courtesy with horrible service and awful room. Two drink coupons for the inconvenience. Really? Once we got the nice room, our experience was normalized. Don’t let them put you in the old, ugly back forty! It should be shut down until remodeled. Rooms are not cheap.
