"I stayed at Cham Cham for 8 nights. The hotel is very new and clean. I stayed in explore twin room by myself. It is big enough. It is a bit far from Taipei, so if you need naps or rest in mid day while visit Taipei, Cham Cham location is not ideal for that. The review for the staff is mixed. The cleaning crew was very thorough and friendly. However, the front desk staff was not very friendly. They were not mean, but didn't really care for saying Hi to the guests. They didn’t smile at all nor care for any questions I had for them. As a traveler, naturally I have some questions, they were not helpful and not friendly. No smile at all. They all seemed like college-aged students who treated this job like another part-time job versus a job in the hospitality service business. This is very different from other hotels I stayed in in Taiwan."

"This is a nice upper scale hotel of the traditional era. The decor is very peaceful and the staff are very kind. I wish the water pressure for making a bath was better. It takes a long time to prepare a bath, but it is nice to have bath salts supplied by the hotel. Also, the AC fan is very loud and the room had too much humidity. The breakfast had many options and the food was tastly. However, you cannot order a raw egg for your rice (or nato). There is also no 'easy over' option when ordering eggs. So, preparation of the eggs with a soft yolk was always a hit or miss! In all, I think the value is good and the hotel is conveniently located next to the TPE main station."

"If you are going to Taipei Dome or Arena I definitely recommend this hotel! A grand and magnificent building, even though it's a little aged but still gives you a lot comfy. I arrived very early after a long-haul intercontinental flight on a morning and they generously provided me a room to for early check-in and I had a very enjoyable and slow-paced morning. Thank you very much ILLUME Taipei! If I am going to Taipei next time, I will choose you again! "
