"The clerk at the desk, I cannot, for the life of me, remember her name. She was WONDERFUL!!! She remembered us from last month. In the morning, we woke up a bit late so when we tried to get the waffles for the (included) breakfast, Starla came and helped get the batter to make them. Someone had just took all of the sausage and Starla refilled those too. The place looks like it is well taken care of. We have not been able to try the pool yet but maybe next trip! Great place!! Will be making this our favorite place in New Buffalo, MI "

"Breakfast was hot. Room was clean but unfortunately the first night our personal hot tub did not work. The owners fixed it and it worked great however we came back that evening to our room door not locked. Then the next day our room was not cleaned. Otherwise staff was very friendly and understanding of our concerns. "

"It doesn't mention anywhere on their site it's at the pool is not open. We're traveling with a small child and the pool was selling point for us! Who was closed I guess they're doing major renovations."

"Seems like this was a 5 star destination hotel about 40 years ago. Still nice, but dated. Quiet. Could use a little more TLC, but has a lot of great character."

"Loved staying here mostly because it is on a lake that is a birding hotspot. The staff is friendly and the rooms are big. Our room had a patio overlooking the lake. Lots of birds. Scenic. Housekeeping was friendly and helpful. They are remodeling so can’t wait to see the new look. Breakfast is OK. Nearby lots of restaurants and shopping and the National Park. "
