"We stayed here one night on our way back from Bergen to Oslo. It is a big sprawling (in a nice way) hotel! Comforting, traditional ski lodge style feel but the room was modern and spacious with a balcony for me, my wife and 15yr old son. The bathroom was very snug though, but clean. There is a good sports bar on site. Burgers were nice. Bar games too. The pool, sauna and outdoor hot tub were v good. The only downside is it faces the main railway station and there were a few late night freight...

"We had a fabulous 2 night stopover in Dr Holms between Bergen & Oslo. The staff are a credit to the hotel especially Julia on reception who was really helpful & Karin (i think thats the spelling) who worked in the restaurant. She was so friendly & knowledgeable about places for us to see on our stopover. The breakfast buffet was one of the best we've had, there was a great choice for everyone in our party & the kitchen staff were accommodating of any requests. I was on the 2nd floor & my room was lovely, with amazing views of the mountains. We loved the quirkyness of the hotel & there was lots of nooks & crannies for us to explore. It was warm & sunny during our stay & it was great to have the balcony on the first floor to sit out on to enjoy it. The only minor disappointments were that both Jacuzzis were out of commission during our stay. Some more vegetarian options in the sports bar & diner would have been welcomed too but other than that, we wouldn't hesitate to return "
