This is a small hotel very close to the beach, shops and restaurants which are only a 5min walk or tuk tuk away. Rooms and facilities are good with air conditioning. Lovely Sri Lankan breakfast starts the day and a pool to chill out. We stayed 1 night as it is close to the airport.

Well run guesthouse good position
Well run guesthouse with helpful staff. Lovely backwater aspect from our room. Watched monitors, kingfishers, loads of birds. Lots of cats, and 2 dogs- all well kept and no trouble. Nice pool to cool off. Good position one street away from shops, restaurants etc. Quiet spot.

A nice stay!
The hotel is in a good location to nearby cafe/restaurants, and the airport. The rooms are basic, but perfectly fine for a few days. The owner is really friendly and also owns a restaurant nearby (which we got 10% off food bill). Nice pool with communal areas.

If you're looking to recreate your high-end Western-standard hotel experience, this is not the place. If you want a pleasant, quiet place to stay where everything works, this is for you. No surprises here except a great breakfast. I suggest you get a room facing the pool and the beautiful garden. The beach and many nice bars and restaurants are within an easy walk. This is a great place to stay to make sure you catch your flight from Bandaranaike Airport.

Highly recommend Hotel Villa Kapuru! The staff were very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was delicious. This is a terrific place to stay when coming or going from Colombo airport, or as a Negombo area destination hotel.

Great hotel in the Negombo area! In walking distance of beach and the main street with plenty of dining options is just up the road about two blocks. The train station is about 4 blocks away. Fast internet, kettle, combination safe, hot water with good pressure, fridge, patio area, and nice desk make the room very suitable. I had a canal view and saw a monitor lizard on two seperate occasions. Staff is super nice and you will certainly enjoy your stay there. The pool is well maintained and cleaned daily and the breakfast is super yummy with honey covered yogurt, plenty of fruit, and eggs made to order served thick slices of locally baked bread. Give it a go!

Amazing stay here! 2 minutes walk to the beach, massive rooms, amazing breakfast and best of all the staff! The Sri Lankan manager of the hotel is amazing! He couldnt of done more to make me well welcome and so everything possible he could to help me book taxis, recommend activities, just a great guy. I will come back to this lovely hotel when I’m back in Negombo.

Very well run boutique hotel. Easy walk to beach and many restaurants. Well kept pool and good made to order breakfast. Would definitely stay again at either the beginning or end of trip.

Loved this place! My friend and I stayed here for 8 days and it was amazing! The staff was awesome very welcoming and helpful. The property feels like a little piece of paradise in Negombo. The owners also saved and rescued cats and dogs that are very friendly and well behaved so animal lovers will get to enjoy this place as well! I HIGHLY recommend this place! Book book book!

Fantastic stay
Really great place to stay. A good spot and very relaxing surroundings. Great staff team always available to help with all your needs. We arrived into the airport at 2/3am but it was no problem to check into the property at that time. There was also the most amazing display of fruit bats returning to a tree just near the guesthouse in the evening. Highly recommend :-).

The villa is a good choice for a few days relaxation on arrival , departure or both. It is well located for the restaurants, bars and the beach. The standards and service are good and the staff very friendly.

Fantastic
Fantastic hotel - excellent location for those looking for somewhere to stay close to the airport at the start or end of their trip. We loved it so much that we stayed at the beginning and ends of our trip - only downside was that we had to leave so soon. Denis, Nalika and all the staff are fantastic - we hope to return soon on our next visit to Sri Lanka.

Peaceful, relaxing and very helpful.
Lovely place with so much care and attention. Breakfast was lovely and sitting by the pool was very serene. Not overrun with tourists like the cookie cutter hotels, though other similar travelers also there to share stories. Room was big, clean and all mod cons.

I am very picky with hotels/villas but this was one of the best places we stayed in Sri Lanka. The host are super friendly and helpful. Very close to all of the resturants, beaches and airport. I would 100% recommand this place to anyone who are planing to stay in this area!

Lovely hotel with very friendly, helpful staff
Hotel Kapuru is lovely. There was a massive stone buddha statue with incense right next to our room (and lots of nice local decorations), and our room had a door to the patio overlooking the canal - it was super nice. Also, the staff went above and beyond to be helpful (e.g., even packing wonderful breakfast boxes for our early morning flight). The location was also good - a 5 min walk or so from many restaurants and cafes, and not far from the beach.

Dennis was helpful n so other staff..were pleasant...overall ...villa can be updated n Surrounding villa is not so clean ... Main concern was not being close to the beach..n town...20 min walk to n from...if raining road gets flooded n u have to re-route ...4..out of 5... in our view

Lovely pool and great staff
The hotel is located five or ten minutes from the beach but has a lovely secluded pool if you want a quick dip. The owner and staff are all very friendly and helpful, not just with the things to do with the hotel, but also arranging taxis etc when needed. To be honest the room itself could do with a bit of an update but it was clean, simple and comfortable. It was decent value considering the overall facilities, setting, and excellent breakfast. Drivers have trouble finding the hotel so be sure to have the hotel number with you so they can call for instructions!

All our rooms upstairs are furnished with wardrobe, writing desk, safe-box, luggage rack, bedside tables & Lamps, tea/coffee making facility, four-poster beds and a painting by a local artists. Currently we are installing satellite TV moving from internet TV as that became Pay to View recently.

Absolutely loved our stay at Villa Kapura starting with the lovely fresh healthy breakfast and plenty of tea or coffee.The rooms are a good size and kept immaculately clean with a very nice shower and always plenty of hot water.The air con is superb and the pool always clean and very inviting.But what really makes this place tick is Dennis and Nalika the owners as nothing is too much trouble and there wealth of local knowledge weather its the local restaurants or places to visit or Sri lanka in general is second to none.Well done guys you made our stay with you really special Thank you so much

Very good small hotel.
Conveniently placed away from main busy high road. Very hospitable owner who provided us with invaluable advice and excellent service. All staff very friendly and accomodating. This place provided us with a brilliant start to our Sri Lankan holiday. We would recommend to anyone looking for a smaller hotel with more personal service. Good breakfast.
