"Check-in funktioniert leider nicht wie geplant, auf die von Expedia empfohlene Kontaktaufnahme erfolgte keine Reaktion. Ab 16:00 soll der Check-in vor Ort möglich sein. Gegen 16:15 war niemand erreichbar, die ausgehängte Telefonnummer wurde zwei Mal zu einem Anrufbeantworter weitergeleitet und der Call-Knopf am Tresor lief ins Leere. Im Rückruf würde mir erklärt, dass jemand im Gastraum ist, der war jedoch noch verschlossen. Danach erschien man dann doch zum Check-in"

"The initial check in was a little confusing, as the self serve process was new, and my two months ago payment wasn’t received. After a phone call it was rectified. Once in the room, it was very clean and comfortable. I would have liked to see some sheer curtains on the windows, not just the black out one. "Beautiful natural rural setting off the beaten path which is just what we were looking for. Nature paths with farm animals within view, berries, apple orchards, and German handcrafts on display. Breakfast was wonderful and the woman who served breakfast was kind and polite. "

"Staff is super friendly and flexible; it is a family owned and run business; they make you feel part of the family; town is super cute and one of the examples of "Fachwerk" houses I have seen in Germany. Also steeped in history. The castle was a seat of one of the most important rulers of Germany. Definitely worth a visit and overnight stay. Great dinner options in the old town center."

"The ATLANTIC Hotel was exactly what I was looking for! An upscale hotel near the Heidelberg Main Train Station, which had a cafe and an excellent restaurant. I was worried about train noise, but never heard a thing. It was like watching a silent movie. The Local Bus Stop was a few hundred feet from the hotel entrance, behind the tourist information building. The tourist office even sells tickets to Heidelberg Castle and the Funicular to get up and back. Very convenient! Took the bus to the University Plaza and the Funicular was at the end of the street. Decided to take an Uber back to hotel for less than $10. The Atlantic Hotel is basically a 5 star hotel with a 3 star price. "

"The hotel was great! Our room had a little balcony. The room was spacious and the bathroom was good size. The breakfast was fresh, with lots of options of meats, cheeses, breads, yogurt, and the staff prepared eggs of choice. Parking was available, But very tight spaces. The restaurant attached, for supper, was only okay. Walking into the town was so easy and there were lots of great restaurants nearby. We drove into Heidelburg old town and visited the castle during the days and it was a lovely drive, about an hour. We totally recommend this hotel."
