Heritage and History inNeath

Neath’shistory dates back to Roman times and there are a number of sites of historicalinterest that chart a rich and varied history from those early days, throughthe middle ages and the industrial revolution to the present day.

The Dulais ValleyHeritage Trail will take you, quite literally, on a walk through history, andyou can discover the tranquil splendour of the nearly 1000 year old ruins ofNeath Abbey. At Aberdulais Falls you can see the largest electricity-generatingwaterwheel in the UK, and it’s quite something to behold.

"A very homely cottage in a quiet setting just what we as a family wanted and got . The cottage itself had everything that you would have at home which you wouldn’t get in a hotel. Having lived in Neath for 38years before moving to Lincolnshire to be near our Son and Daughter-in-law and first Grandchild ,Neath will always be a wonderful town.
