"I really wanted to like this place. It’s wrecked looking from the outside and there is no “Gurnee Motel” sign so I missed the turn. No problem, I thought. Chin up. The portico outside is closed off. There is scaffolding all around it but I don’t think it’s for construction. There was no evidence of work. I think it’s just gonna be that way forever. The man at the desk was very friendly and suggested I see the room before I signed on the dotted line so to speak. I should’ve known at that stage to...

"This place was FANTASTIC! If you're going for Naval Graduation, I was, this place is close! 8 min drive and your there! A left, a right, another left and another right... at base! To easy! Staff is absolutely amazing!!! Rooms are clean and they are pet friendly!!"

"We were never able to check in. We arrived at the motel at 6:30pm. No one was available to check us in. There was a sign posted outside the office saying that check in was only from 3 to 4pm. We lost the money we had paid for the room, and had to find another hotel to stay in. A drug addict who was staying in one of the rooms was wandering around in the parking lot. He scared my wife."

"The room was great, only 2 things from my stay. The light above the sink near the entrance no way I could turn it off. The second was no housekeeping I stayed 2 nights, I believe there should have been house keeping, but I’m not sure. Trash was still there etc. other than that great service, hotel is under renovation so dont expect breakfast. I would stay again, very close to welcome center and RTC Navy graduation which is why I stayed."
