"An OK stay, common areas are a little tired, first morning we waited 20 mintes for someone to bring a menu and take our order, second morning was better.
Great location with easy access to North York Moors."
"The Breakfast was included and was really excellent (good choices, fresh good quality ingredients, well presented etc.), and the free off-road parking at the rear was convenient.
We stayed in the cottage which is nicely presented, and good value. The only minor issues were the tv remote didn’t work (probably just batteries), the bathroom is a bit tired (toilet hard to flush, mold around the bath), but the shower and overall facilities were good enough.
Overall, a comfortable good value stay."
"The staff were so friendly and keen to make everything perfect. The room was great. The food was excellent. I had really great dinners and breakfast was delicious start to day. The locals clearly loved the Royal Oak which was another good sign! Such a great stay and only good things to say about it!"
"Perfect stay and the two staff we met Ben and the breakfast chef sorry didn’t get your name were so welcoming . Breakfast was delicious . Would highly recommend the plum and partridge "
"We had a really good stay. The cottage is beautiful and equipped with absolutely everything you could ever need. Our son really enjoyed the garden, in particular the Wendy House which was also kitted out with toys, which was a lovely bonus.
The village is peaceful but perfect for a nice walk.
We would thoroughly recommend the property and would stay again. "

"Lovely house with great facilities- has everything we could have needed to enjoy our stay. Quiet area but easy access to North Yorks Moors and other local attractions. "
"Cashed in some one key points for night away . Took the scenic route from Gateshead and visited Richmond , Aysgarth Falls , Grassington and Thirsk on the way .
Had a couple of beers in the beer garden , freshened up then a gorgeous meal in the orangery.
So glad we had booked as they were turning people away !
The staff were excellent- friendly , courteous and attentive.
Lovely relaxing night away , helped by the English heatwave ."
"Very cute and quaint cottage with lots of greenery all around. Very comfortable accommodations, and the freshly baked loaf of bread was such a thoughtful touch. We wish we could have stayed longer! "
