National Katyn Memorial

The one thing that I am so impressed with is how quiet the property is. So many hotels are noisy all night and day. This one, even though it's right next to a busy highway, is pin drop quiet. So much appreciated.

I was surprised to be unimpressed by the Graduate hotel. The lobby, bar and conference room are beautiful, and it’s within walking distance to Church Circle, but that’s about it. Our first impression was a freezing-cold lobby and a desk clerk who barely acknowledged us and just seemed uninterested in her job. The lobby remained frosty throughout our stay and was so cold that we went outside to wait for our car to be brought up in the morning. It was 47 degrees outside, but it was better to stand outside in the sunlight than wait in the lobby. The room was tiny with hardly any space to put our suitcases. There was no cabinet for our clothes and the closet was tiny, so we had to live out of our suitcases for four days. The view was nothing special and the window curtains wouldn’t open up, anyway. The bathroom was also tiny and had no counter-space, so we had to put our things on the floor. This property needs a complete gutting and renovation. The walls of the room have chipping paint and have clearly been painted over at least a dozen times. The only thing going for the Graduate is a pretty good location, but there’s also now homeless people living right outside the front door. Yikes!
