It was just ok for the price. No coffee or mini fridge in your room. And no ice on the floors either. The machine downstairs with soda u could buy was broken. So had to ask for ice and a glass at the bar for any drinks purchased. The employees were nice and I don’t know if I could have been if everyone coming down was asking for cups and ice all the time. Mgmt needs to consider this nicety to have for people spending upper prices in the area. Heard other guest calling it a murder mystery hotel due to the dark paint dark carpet and dark lighting in the hallways. I had not thought that until I heard them say it….so there is that…. And no coffee in the room either. U get it free but had to completely dress to go to the bar for that as well…..other than that it was fine. And we felt safe

Very unique hotel! Loved the minimalist decor & the bar check in was cute! Only thing I would change is the ability to change the temp on the rooms. Great trendy experience and apparently the local college students love it!

Bartender is the receptionist, very rude and terrible customer service. On day 1, while in our room another guest showed up to our room with a key that works! Thankfully we knew them but imagine if that was not the case. Walls are all blue. Dogs peeing inside the property multiple times. Wouldn’t stay here again honestly. It was close to location so convenient but I would try a different hotel. Cannot believe this is a Marriott…

Checking in at the bar was such a fun/interesting experience! Rinishka, who checked us in, was wonderful, as was every other person who we interacted with. They went above and beyond to make the stay as comfortable and tailored as they could. Comfortable, clean, aesthetic rooms, pet friendly (with a reasonable fee!), and close to lots of good food. The bar across the street got a little rowdy late at night (this was a Saturday, so to be expected), but head phones or ear plugs will block it out.

Fun Hotel near Vandy, excellent staff
The hotel met our needs in every way. The staff was beyond friendly and super efficient. The lobby is a perfect place to hang out. Lots of extras are included in the reservation that added to the experience. The room was quiet and comfortable. The hotel is walking distance to a number of restaurants,shops, and Vanderbilt University and Hospital.

The Moxy is a charming place to stay and very well located with several desirable shops and restaurants in walking distance. Staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. Yes, there is a small window between the bathroom and main room but it is privacy glass. We were very happy with our stay and would stay at this location again!

The staff at Moxy was so nice and helpful. When my flight got cancelled they were more than accommodating and truly concerned about my situation of being stranded from the snow. I am also thankful to the staff for staying the night to offer one of the best customer service experiences in food and drinks that was able to do with the severe winter conditions. They ended up being the only facility open going into the night which I was truly grateful to be able to get a good warm meal and drink. Thank you to the Moxy staff who worked on January 15th!!

Excellent hotel!
Hotel is beautiful, room was spotless, staff very helpful and friendly, excellent customer service! They gave us two free drinks from the bar, which we used to purchase mocktail drinks. The parking was cheap, $30, compared to other hotels in the area. There are several good restaurants and shopping across the street and within walking distance. Safe area to stay. Will stay again :-)

Moxy is a very unique hotel. The lobby is great to hang out in. Service was a bit slow but everyone was friendly. The rooms however are just not functional. There are pegs to hang clothes but only a few hangers. Where am I putting my underwear? There is only one small bedside shelf to put anything on as well- it’s a minimalists dream room. Other than that the electrical was also messed up. To turn on the bathroom lights, you had to have the main light switch on. Meaning if you had to pee in the middle of the night? You have to turn the bedroom lights on. It was stupid. Speaking of the bathroom, the door was a barn style with semi opaque glass. Unfortunately if you are in the bathroom and someone opens the hotel door? Anyone in the hall is getting an eyeful because it’s right there! I get that my comments are about the design and it’s not for everyone. But our room specifically had a broken faucet in the shower; the handheld one was broken and couldn’t be hooked back into the wall. Also the opaque bathroom door wouldn’t stay shut. It was off level and just slid open the whole time- kind of annoying when you are trying to go to the bathroom. Finally, only one elevator was working all weekend. We tried to find the stairs to walk down but we never could find them. This place would be fine if I was 23 and not unpacking my suitcase. For the 40 crowd? We need to put our stuff places!!!

I had a lot of issues with this hotel. There were items that were broken and I never saw any evidence they were being repaired--especially the elevators--they were down one elevator the entire stay. There is a trashbucket under a leak in the hallway and no evidence anyone cares. The last straw is that I was quoted $10 per night for parking and charged $30 per night. They wouldn't listen to my complaint because I couldn't name the person who checked me in. The lobby is noisy. I started trying to work there while my daughter was sleeping upstairs and they crank the music up at 6 AM. They were kind enough to let me into the 'listening room' to be able to make a phone call.

I enjoyed this hotel more than any other I have stayed at. The staff was always very friendly and the downstairs lobby area was a great place to hang out. The check in desk is a bar and the lobby is full of games (pool, darts, shuffle board, ...). We hung out there on several nights after our other activities and had a great time.

Amazing modern industrial design
The room was designed very nice!. Didn’t have much seating to sit & enjoy a relaxing time though. Didn’t have a bathtub so if you have little ones this isn’t the room for you. Room was exceptionally clean. Location was perfect for what we needed. It was close to Vanderbilt Children's hospital. Expect to pay extra for hotel parking lot.

We were told to go to the wrong room. We kept telling them the key wasn’t working. We called from the room we were given, we went down to talk to them three separate time. When the guy came to “fix” our lock is when he finally noticed something was wrong so he took us to the front desk and they finally checked the room we were supposed to be in was the room next to it even though the number was written wrong on the card carrier they gave us. So we stayed in a cheaper room than we paid for and they didn’t even try to refund us. The whole time we were supposed to have a king room with the balcony. We only got to stay in that room for our anniversary ONE night. Kind bummed and upset that our money wasn’t refunded. It was their mistake to give us the wrong room in the first place.
