At my arrival I immediately smell a strong perfume scent, at the beginning tolerable, but after 3 minutes the smell of the perfume was unbearable and I started to have allergic reaction, my throat was dry and I started being lightheaded. They tried to give me an upgrade for my room but the scent was everywhere in the hotel, staff was nice, tried their best, but the situation was critical for me. I had to cancel on the spot and book a different hotel. The manager made a waiver to refund me 2 out of 3 nights, and this I didn’t like it at all, yes I didn’t have cancellation policy but when there is a health hazard involved this shouldn’t be an option. If you are sensitive to scents or perfume avoid it. Also, beds are hard like a slab and rooms are small.

absolute gem in Nairobi

Great hotel, friendly staff who are willing to go out of their way to help, clean, comfortable and the food is fantastic with such a wide array of choices at what is at most hotels, a boring breakfast - not at this one.

Was really happy with my choice of hotel. The best parts were the staff and the restaurant - I found out that they have their own garden where they grow the fruit for the breakfast buffet. Special mention also the gym where the staff were the friendliest and most helpful I have ever come across - really really excellent customer care - thank you Connie! There is a noisy road outside, and when I was staying there were some roadworks too, only a problem if you are working from the hotel. It's also on a busy junction so access at rush hour can be a bit slow. Despite that, I would return here, just for the breakfast and the overall customer service.
