"A Little Treasure in the Heart of Old Quito Some places you stay, and some places you remember. Hotel Casa Ecuatreasures is the second kind. Tucked into a lovingly restored historic home in Quito’s Centro Histórico, this small hotel has a warmth that no grand resort could match. With just a handful of rooms, it feels less like checking in and more like being welcomed into someone’s home: cozy, quiet, and full of character. Every corner feels authentic, and the city’s treasures are just steps from the door. What made our stay unforgettable, though, was our host. From the moment we arrived, he made time for us. He sat down to share his favorite corners of the city and the places we simply couldn’t miss, and he walked us through getting around by subway, taxi, or ride-share. He even booked dinner reservations at a pair of lovely restaurants that became highlights of our trip. I honestly can’t remember ever staying with anyone more generous with their time or more genuinely helpful. If you love small, peaceful, authentic places with real heart, this is one of the finest boutique hotels you’ll find anywhere. For my girlfriend and me, it was a wonderful discovery, and we’re already looking forward to coming back. 10 out of 10. Thank you for making Quito feel like home."

"WiFi was decent but did break up sometimes. Friendly staff but often didn’t have information such as once I asked about laundry and the staff wasn’t sure and didn’t try to help and find out. It’s a budget hostel, good value for the money in the city historic center. You can walk alone at night u til about 830-9pm. Uber is plentiful. Decent traditional restaurants around within walking distance. Hostel is quiet except for the construction - so be mindful if you take naps or sleep in behind 8am. There is no refrigerator to store food and the staff wasn’t helpful about it. Bathrooms are small but completely updated. Hot water is warmer but not super hot. Pressure is good. No elevator. Narrow stairs. Extra blankets available if you need it."

"This hotel is truly a gem. From the decor to the location to the wonderful staff, we had a wonderful stay. It has a great rooftop bar with amazing views and the dinner we had their restaurant was one of the best meals we had on our 17 days in Ecuador. The breakfast was top notch too. The hotel is gorgeous and you are right in the historic center with so much beautiful architecture right at your door step. The staff went above and beyond with helping us get settled and provided us with a lovely welcome drink and appetizer. They also gave us a small bottle of wine and chocolates. I can't recommend this hotel enough!"
