"We like to stay at Hotel Granvia when in Kyoto, so upon seeing a location in Hiroshima, we jumped at the opportunity to stay here as well. The hospitality and professionalism is great, with the location being very convenient. The room was very nice and clean. We enjoyed staying here and would re-book if ever back in town! "
HOTEL FORK & KNIFE Miyajima - Opening in Mar 28th 2026
10/10 Excellent
"No ocean view from my room, but this place is absolutely fantastic, and brand new. It is NOT on the island - be aware - and it is a 10-minute walk or more to the ferry. We did not make a reservation for dinner, so we missed out (I'm sure it was amazing) but our breakfast the next morning was out of this world. We did the American-fusion breakfast (it was not very American, but my gosh was it great). Absolutley loved the hotel."
"I loved this hotel for all the free amenities they offered! There was a public bath located in the hotel as well as a lounge/dining area that offered free drinks and food items at various times of the day. The room itself was very spacious, clean, and one of the biggest rooms we stayed in on our 3 week trip around Japan. The staff was friendly and check in and check out was quick and easy at their self-service machine. I would highly recommend this hotel! It was a 15-20 minute walk to the Peace Museum and food/shopping areas in Hiroshima so very accessible and centrally located."
"Breakfast was buffet with Japanese, (Japanized) Chinese and Western cuisine.
Satisfied: Fried Oyster was good. And overall combination.
Disappointed: We wanted to make toast but there were strawberry jam, orange jam and margarine but no butter. When we baked croissant in heater, the space between ceiling and croissant was too short, which burnt the top of croissant.

"The check in staff will not accept check in before 3pm. Instead of checking you in but come back later like other hotels do. They dont. When you come back at 3pm, you encounter so many people including group check ins. Which is just a waste of time.the lobby is nice but bathrooms are old stuff."
"This hotel has a great view of the Hiroshima Dome, check in was a breeze, staff was very helpful. Fairly close to train station, but hotel is dated, has old musty smell. The bathroom was the worse, it had serious BODY ODOR smell when we checked in! That smell never went away and they don't give you the white disposable slippers, so you're walking on a stained dirty looking carpet (gross). Also, the hotel claims the AC in the room is adjustable, WRONG! NO AC! Just a fan flow level that can be adjusted. Room was lukewarm and the maid had to open the window for us. Bed was kinda lumpy but they have 2 pillows, it was OK. They do have a bar in the lobby, which was cool. "
"There I free shuttle from the train station to hotel which was helpful because we had to walk one night because we arrived past the time. It’s not too far. It’s close to the JR west terminal to get to Miyajima. We didn’t utilize the bath because we had tattoos so can’t say. But liked the amenities bar and had kid la shampoo and body wash available. But didn’t see much families though. Was a nice location."
