"The property was absolutely lovely. Perfect for what I was looking for. Close to the main town of Glastonbury as it took a short drive to get there. The accommodation was very clean. Towels and linen provided and kitchen equipment was very good. Bed was very comfy and I loved the lighting in there. Overall I enjoyed my stay. Would highly recommend and when I go back I would love to stay there again "

"Firstly I would not recommend this place to stay to anyone. On the plus side the room was clean but any so called amenities were pretty basic for what was described as 4 star. To be told on arrival by the manager/chef/barman/probably everything this as he seemed to be the only person on the premises, that there was no food due to no delivery was a bit of a blow. Then be told that an English breakfast was going to be an additional £8 per head also didn't go down well. We were informed that breakfast was between 8-10. Thankfully we were only staying the one night, as in the morning no breakfast appeared infact nobody in the place seemed to be around. My wife and I began to think apart from others who were staying noone else was in the property, infact I had to unlock the front entrance first thing. We ended up leaving our room keys on the bar and left. Clearly the place is being run if you can say run on a shoe string. Unless some serious organisation/work on the place is carried out ASAP then closure is inevitable, which would be a great shame for a lovely building."

"Staff were friendly and helpful, accommodation was clean, room was lovely. Parking is ample although there is a charge per day that isn’t clear on their website although I expect it is relative to the excellent central location. We would definitely stay here again."

"One of the best hotels I have had the privilege to stay in❤️ From the checking in with Amanda to the room itself, absolutely beautiful . A pitty the weather didn’t play ball, location amazing , view amazing , city a short stroll away. If you want a nice hotel this is the one for you!"

"Spent one night at The George. The staff were very friendly, check in was very smooth. Very knowledgeable about car parking in the town. Our room was very comfortable, clean and tidy. We slept well. The bathroom was well appointed, the shower was good and there was plenty of hot water. Breakfast was very good. My partner had a full English which he was very pleased with. I had poached eggs which were perfectly cooked. We would definitely stay here again if we are in the area."

"As a business traveller I won't be staying here again. No food available on site, breakfast or evening meal. It required a 5 mins walk around a couple of corners to a sister venue for evening meal and breakfast the following morning. Okay on a fine day, but not good in bad weather. as a business traveller it was a waste of time. No mention of this issue on the Hotels.com website listing, otherwise I would have passed it over. Bigger issue was no effective desk to use my laptop at, but worse still, absolutely no wifi signal anywhere within the confines of my room, room 4. Could only pick it up out in the courtyard, and as there was nowhere else in the building accessible where I could have sat (bar or restaurant) then I could not effectively complete any work (yet another waste of my time) Okay venue for accessing the centre of Wimborne on a social visit, but useless as a business traveller."

"We really enjoyed our 5 day stay at the Hotel, our standard room was of a very generous size, much bigger than a lot of hotels which was very pleasing. The Hotel throughout was spotlessly clean, and the food was excellent, the staff were very helpful, and the cost was very reasonable, there was always plenty of parking spaces in the car park, and we will definitely visits again, the Hotel exceeded our expectations."
