"Great location and value excellent staff , stayed there many years ago and definitely I noticed the big improvement, although still hard old fashioned keys the safe never worked and wasn't able to find a single electrical outlet by bed , just simple things that will make a big improvement, once again the staff is just excellent ."

"Great location, next to a mercado with Asado (BBQ) dining options and shops. Walkable to supermarket, pedestrian mall and Ferry terminal and old town, tourist information centre Reception desk good English and helpful. Good quality breakfast, service took a bit too long."

Smart Hotel Montevideo

"My only complaint about the Smart Hotel is that you don’t want a room across from the elevator as you will hear loud news through the door as long as people are using the elevator. Until around midnight, i heard what sounded like someone building a large wooden toy tower, then hitting it so that all of the pieces fall to the floor. It was actualy vwry annoying and definitely woke me up in the morning. I was in a beautiful room on the penthouse floor, but the noise was sufficient to make me not want to stay there a second night. My room number was 1003. Everything else was terrific."
