1) Both of the two beds in the room were obviously too old and were VERY soft, and caused back pain for both of us! They definitely need to replace these beds! It made it hard to sleep, which is the main reason you rent a hotel room!
For this reason, I would not return to this hotel.
2) No elevator on property made it a pain to take suitcases up and down.
3) A "service fee" of $10 was added, but for no particular service or amenities.
It's nothing more than a junk fee, just a way for them to make more money, after getting you interested showing a lower pre-fee/pre-tax room rate.
There is absolutely no excuse for this fee!
4) I was surprised to be told at check-in that there would be a $100 hold put on my credit card, to be refunded at check out! I've never experienced this before. Not being part of a rock group, or a young party person (we're two senior women travelers), I can't believe that this is warranted for fear of our damaging the room.
5) The "deluxe" room we had was nice, clean and felt spacious, especially because of the high vaulted ceiling. But the terribly soft beds and the lack of elevator took away from the room.
6) The manager, who we met during the continental breakfast the next day, was very nice. We had a pleasant conversation with him.
The man at check-in was also nice and polite.
7) The breakfast is an ok continental breakfast, with a few cereals, milk, packaged oatmeal and drinks. It's not lavish, but was good enough.
