One morning when leaving my room I (thankfully) noticed that my door didn’t lock behind me. The man at the front desk tried to change the batteries, and when that didn’t work he called someone to come by. He was just going to leave my room unlocked and open while I was out. I told him that wasn’t okay, and he switched me to a smaller room. No one came to clean the room or change the towels at all during my stay. The WiFi didn’t work most of the time and my reception in the area was terrible. The area itself was great. Really close to the beach. Overall I wouldn’t stay here again.

As soon as you walk in there's a fresh laundry smell, very clean, and even has a desk office table and chair. Beds are comfy and warm, no microwave though but there's is one in the office. At night, you can hear the cars pass by but not too noisy I guarantee you will get a good nights sleep. There's also a heater in there and right in front of the motel, 2-3 minutes walking, in the park, there are some stairs that you can climb and see the ocean. It's also 3-7 minutes away from food, stores, and coffee. Overall great stay, Very satisfied.

This is a motel after all so if you have high expectations for staying here then lower them. They keep their rooms decently clean, but expect small things like no microwave in each room, a leaky faucet and older appliances. Overall, the Monterey Oceanside Inn motel is decent for staying a couple of nights in a pinch and is reasonably affordable for a room.

Beach motel
Cute little motel 5 minute walk from Del Monte beach, 5 minute drive from Cannery Row and Fisherman’s Wharf area. Nothing fancy but clean, comfortable, and affordable.

If you're interested in riding your bikes on there coastal trail, it's right across the street. We loved it and rode up and down the coast. We were more than pleased with our stay. The room was super clean, freshly painted, open and comfortable. Beds pillows and blankets were nice and they gave us an extra blanket. There is no coffee in the room, but Starbucks is right around the corner, a 2 minute walk. Air conditioning worked great. Bathroom and shower are well appointed. Comfortable desk chair. And plenty of room. Easy parking is right at your door at this quaint little place. The landscaping, small grounds, parking lot, vines and Roses are well kept and inviting. We love Monterey and had a great time at a great price and plan to come back again next year for our anniversary.

The Inn is very dated and needs a remodel. There were holes in the bed sheets and the towels. The towels were small. There is room in the parking lot, but it is very small. You could take a short drive to the beach and there was a Starbucks next door that we walked to.

Pleasant Quiet Stay
Registration was simple, easy. The man at desk was pleasant. Monterey Oceanside Inn is quiet and small. Not far from Del Monte Beach. Definitely would stay again.

Questionable cleanliness
We planned for a family weekend get-away. The hotel seemed nice and cozy from the outside. The inside is simple and equipped with a fridge, microwave is available in the office. Everything was going great until I realized just how dirty the hotel was. I took a shower and noticed everywhere I stept seemed to be mud water. So, I took the damp towel I used and went around the entire room. Needless to say it was as if this room was never swept or mopped before. I was walking around barefoot, and noticed my feet were still getting dirty!! So I grabbed a wet washcloth and swept the room once more. I am so upset at how expensive this hotel is for such poor cleanliness. Not to mention the hair all over the walls and the ice bucket that is dirty with fingerprints from other guests!!

Typical cheap motel. Kinda place where you wonder if they wash the comforter between guests. Room had a "smell" to it. Good enough for a cheap place in Monterey, Starbucks is right around the corner too.

Nice, clean room just lock your room door!!
The exterior looks like a cottage. Very clean and nice looking room inside. Everything is within a 15 minute drive. Good room for the price but make sure to double check that your room door is locked. The front desk lady walked into our room around 9am while we were sleeping, for no reason. She didn’t even knock before coming in. This was unnecessary. Other than that, we enjoyed our stay.

Not good. Room was dirty. When my kids walked on the carpet, the bottoms of their feet turned black. Noise from the road out front was loud. Very dated. Cable kept going out. WiFi was very slow when it worked.

It’s a great place if you just need to stay a night. Literally… not the cleanest but not the worst. Staff was nice. Towels are very old and stained. Blankets had hair on them. We wanted to be by the beach so good if your going to be out all day and need to sleep.

Very disappointed no light switch in bathroom had to turn on light in dressing area so the whole room was light. Didn’t clean the room no new towels or toliet paper. We had to go get everything at office. Desk manager was rude when we asked about getting a receipt. We were told we had to call Expedia. Also ridiculous price for ehat we got. He also told us part of the price was a commission fee.

Pay what you get for. Nothing special but gets the job done. Only negative takeaways were I saw a hair on one of the towels and you can hear the noise of cars driving by. Luckily it’s not a crazy late night town so if you can deal with those things (I can) you should stay here.

Room was terrible. We thought we were getting a queen sized bed. They said it was a queen but it was the smallest queen bed I have seen in my life. In addition the room is close to the street and there was a lot of traffic and I didn’t get a good night sleep.
