"Stayed for one night with my boyfriend as a stopover between Sutherland and Cape Town, and honestly wish we’d booked two. Despite booking very last minute, Evelyn made us feel welcome as soon as we arrived with a glass of champagne. The property is beautifully curated; every piece of furniture and decor feels intentional, giving the whole place a boutique, high-end atmosphere. We had our own parking space right outside our suite, which was a nice touch. The suite itself genuinely exceeded expectations: four poster bed, in-room sauna, and a jacuzzi bath made it feel like a mini retreat. The infinity pool area is stunning, with loungers and daybeds spread around and panoramic views of the Montagu mountains. We headed into town for dinner on the owners’ recommendation and ended the night with a glass of wine in the bar back at the hotel. The bed was incredibly comfortable; had one of the best sleeps of the trip, and breakfast the next morning was excellent. If we were doing it again, we would definitely stay two nights to make time for the pool and the spa facilities. Highly recommend this place."

"It was a perfect stay and rest. Stay longer and they have many things to do in the area. Hikes, guided tours, cycling, motor bike club and even a Rolls Royce car tour. The host was wonderful and caring, it was a lovely stay Colin from London"

"There was a mixup with the room we had booked, so were given another room which was just as nice, room 5. It was adjacent to the breakfast room however, so if you like to sleep in, maybe not the room for you. The room was beautifully decorated, clean, large and very comfortable. Very private until the breakfast time happens at 8 am. Breakfast was delicious. The only complaint was the hot water shower pressure was pretty weak. We brought that to the attention of the owner and she said they would address the problem. The property is beautiful and close to town. I would recommend staying there to anyone. "

"We booked and paid through hotels.com - although the hotel has reviews the owner claims he does not use hotels.com. He asked us to pay for the night after we had already paid and have a receipt of payment. The owner asked us to pay again, although we had already paid. "
