"I wish they had let me know when I made the reservation that the swimming pool was closed. It was a let down. We were looking forward to swimming."

Super 8 by Wyndham Big Cabin/Vinita Area

8/10 Good
"The lady at the front desk was very helpful. The first room she gave us had very little air conditioner actually coming out of the vent so she moved us to the room next-door, which had the same problem. She then moved us around the corner to another room which had more than acceptable amount of air-conditioning although on a really hot summer day could have been questionable. The bed was very comfortable & clean. The shower seemed to have been remodeled compared to the first two that she gave us. The TV was definitely newer in the third room. There was the weirdest thing in a hotel like this that still has carpet on the floors; there was a bidet in the bathroom and it actually worked! Weird for a Super 8, but okโ€ฆThe room smelled too much like chemical cleaning products and all had carpet. Itโ€™s in a great location right next to a Loveโ€™s and could be like a really great property if they would put some work into the rooms. It was really cool that whoever actually does own the hotel and live there had a really awesome garden. it was acceptable since she was able to place us in a room with a working air conditioner, but for the price we have had way way better hotels that fit into the same category as a Super 8. Also, she said she didnโ€™t know which rooms had a good air conditioner or not. There needs to be a list and they need to give customers the ones that actually work and fix the other ones."
