In one of the oldest parts of Monaco, watch a play in a historic fortress, swim in a nautical arena and admire luxury yachts.

La Condamine is a thriving district in the heart of Monaco, featuring some of the principality’s most impressive architecture. Parks and museums adorn the lively area, which centers on Port Hercules and the business district. Enjoy the fascinating blend of charming history and modern entertainment that makes Monaco special.

Admire the rows of lavish yachts lining the piers of the harbor and guess which celebrities or business magnates own them. Comprising a natural harbor on Monaco’s eastern side, this deep-water port has a history stretching back as far as the ancient Greeks and Romans.

Stroll along the piers and visit the Yacht Club de Monaco at its northern end. At the harbor’s center is the Rainier III Nautical Stadium that is named after the principality’s former king. Go for a swim in the arena’s Olympic-sized heated pool, just across the street from the sea.

Relax and sunbathe on the chaise longues or take shelter under an umbrella. You can also jump into the pool from diving boards. Note that the stadium converts into an ice rink in winter.

In the southeastern corner of the port stands 18th-century Fort Antoine. Watch an open-air theatrical production in the historic fortress amid cannon balls and military architecture. Walk along iconic Boulevard Albert Premier, where the Grand Prix de Monaco auto race takes place each year.

Explore the region immediately west for Princess Antoinette Park, where you’ll find a mini-golf course, an elegant bridge and tennis courts. Stay in the area as night arrives and enjoy a cocktail at one of the bars overlooking the marina.

The ward of La Condamine is in the heart of the Principality of Monaco. Walk south for a few minutes from the Gare de Monaco to get here. The area incorporates the harbor, standing between the districts of Port de Fontvieille, L’Hermitage and Moneghetti. Visit other nearby sights, such as the Musée Océanographique, the Monaco Top Cars Collection and the Cathédrale de Monaco.
