If you have the chance and the budget to stay here you absolutely should - the building is astonishing in scale and intricacy. You can't get a full feel for it just by visiting for dinner or to the museum. Service is excellent, there were a few issues in the restaurant like bringing the wrong drinks etc but all minor and swiftly resolved.

Staying with Chhotaram and his family was a phenomenal experience. We were able to cook, play, eat, dress, and laugh in such an authentic setting. You truly are welcomed and treated as part of the family. While we were only able to stay for a single night, it was the most fulfilling experience we could have imagined - a village safari, desert sunset, amazing food and company. For anyone looking for an unforgettable time in India, this should be your first choice!

Expensive restaurant and bar menu

Lovely hotel, close to the airport but slightly out of Jodhpur. The hotel staff were so friendly and helpful and I was given my room immediately even though I arrived well before check in time. The restaurant is excellent with a huge variety of à la carte options as well as a good buffet option. My room was large and bed was very comfortable

Unique, excellent food, lovely garden beautifully lit after dark. Good on-site shop selling very good quality, locally made items. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would love to return. Thank you for the upgrade to the "Writers' suite" which was very special.

I stayed at Mertiya residency for 2 nights and my stay was very comfortable there . Room was clean and staffs are very friendly they helped in everything I asked for . I would definitely recommend this hotel to stay in Jodhpur . Thanks

A hotel with a traditional atmosphere located in the narrow alleys of Jodhpur. I was able to reach the hotel without worry thanks to the staff, who answered my questions via WhatsApp beforehand—advising me to arrive by auto-rickshaw due to the narrow streets and letting me know the going rates. During my stay, they also recommended cafes and restaurants, which really enhanced my sightseeing experience in Jodhpur. Thank you.。

We were absolutely amazed by the loveliness at the Ajit Bhawan. We were welcomed with a cold drink and a cold flannel for our hands and face. We were shown to our room which exceeded our expectations, it was spacious, spotless and superb. The outside patio was amazing. The staff were simply first class. The pool area was the best we have seen whilst in India. The food was delicious with plenty of choice. We only wish we had spent longer here and would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for...

Very warm welcome from friendly, helpful owner. Beautifully restored heritage property. The room was most attractively furnished with period fixtures and fittings. A/C unit was modern, quiet and effective. The WiFi was reliable but not particularly fast. Buffet breakfast included in room rate was fine, though the selection could have been better. We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful hotel . I would recommend staying in one of the regal suites if you can. They are HUGE , beautifully furnished and overlook the lake . The grounds of this hotel are stunning . Unfortunately the restaurant and bar in the main building are only open when that part of the complex is full so we ate out in the garden which was still lovely. the room was spacious, clean, heritage style, love the solid marble floor, the pool/garden view. the location is perfect for a good rest/sleep, very quiet, surrounded by trees/garden, waking up to bird songs and greenery... very refreshing for a big, busy city, and it is centrally located not in the outskirt of the city. Breakfast was included in my booking, good spread of Indian and continental and can be taken either in the dining room or the garden. the staff was helpful, wifi was free. ...
