"Highly highly recommended for authentic yet modern stay. So many lovely details. Super charming house. Great location. No parking close by so expect to haul suitcases up stairs but everything else is just perfect."

Really enjoy the stay in Hotel Route Inn. Very good value for the cost I paid.
Nice breakfast buffet and onsen facility for you to relax after a full-day trip.
Will consider Hotel Route Inn again if available for my next Japan trip.

Large room was very similar to a hotel chain in US and was very comfortable and quiet. The only things which we didn't like were the pillows which were so hard and the bed cover which was made of a shiny man made material.

This was my favourite stay in my trip. Greeted at the entrance by a staff member whoofferex me a cokd towel and drink while they checked me in. Room was lovely. I gad difficulty with the room temperature and staff dealt eith ut whike I was at dinner. They took a photo of the remote and labelled it in English for me. The food is the highlight! It is a fixed menu full of drlightes each evening. There was miscommunication about my dietary requirements on the first night and chef made me a different...

An absolute gem.
We loved the whole experience. Great little bar area where you can eat your own food & drink, & play cards at night
We had the room on the first floor. Amazing views over the pagoda, town & bridge in the distance.
Staff were fantastic- really helpful.
We cooked a simple spaghetti meal, but bought breakfast in the morning.
Lovely little garden & patio.
Showers were great & soap provided.
Washing machine available.
If you're travelling on the Shinkansen, just to note it arrives in...

This was a really lucky find. The hotel was located in a really peaceful and tranquil location by a lake with the added bonus of having an onsen. Traditional Japanese breakfast was included which was a lovely experience.
Would definitely recommend it

We originally booked for 4 nights but after we messed things up could only stay the 1. The hotel were staff were fine with this and even offered to refund us for the 3 nights we missed. The hotel has everything you need, free coffee, vending machines and at 7.30 offered a free curry night.
Nice hotel, nice massage chairs, brilliant staff.
