"The train carriage was a magical room which was truly enjoyable to stay in - it certainly made it hard to leave during the day. The staff at the lodge were incredibly warm and hospitable, I enjoyed their company and the opportunity to dine for freshly made breakfast prior to check out."

"Great location and very well renovated. Kitchen was well stocked with utensils and appliances. Wi-fi was spotty (likely due to weather) and was difficult to get the temperature correct. Lovely spot on the lake for a peaceful morning coffee."

"Breakfast was among the best we’ve ever had. The staff paid attention to every detail. Eco friendly touches did not detract from comfort and convenience. Glenorchy was peaceful and quiet and a perfect antidote to ski days in Queenstown. One of my favorite spots was the covered outdoor fireplace savoring a hot chocolate or a whiskey on a freezing night. I live a long way from New Zealand, but hope to return at some point."
