"I think the property was friendly to pets. It had a lot of room in the front & back yard, along with a lot of space in the living room & kitchen. The bed is big, so your pet could definitely sleep with you on it or they could go into the guest bedroom too. There is a massage chair that was definitely relaxing & the place was clean"

"Stayed here June 3 to 5, 2026. The room was spacious and they did try to have it updated. Sadly I would not stay here again. Continental breakfast provided was ok not much selection, only bonus was they had waffle maker. We informed front desk ladies about the door knob not working properly as it was broken and looked like it was not installed correctly. It was very hard to open the door, we were fighting with it just to open. The ladies seemed uninterested when we informed them of it. The a/c was loud and not cooling the room properly. Good thing it cooled at night and we were only staying for 2 nights. Only positive is that the shuttle driver to airport was great and informative. The shuttle request sheet needs to be done by date not just people signing up on any page. The page I signed up on was missing and that was a concern. Again the young lady at the desk was not helpful seemed again uninterested! This needs to be organized better. Good thing that there was a cruise group needing rides to airport the day we needed a shuttle to airport.
The Puffin has 2 star rating for a reason."
"Ease of access from/to the main highway and shopping areas.
Views of lake & snowcapped mountains. Quiet. Morning sounds of birds. Well maintained gardens of eatables and local plants. Furniture and furnishings are right out of designer magazines, and all is coordinated and comfortable. No excess. No clutter. But lots of it and all fits together. Hostess is personable; well-traveled; and proficient in the art of conversation.
Days later in our travels we met again with other guests. They said out-of-the-ordinary tips and hints from the hostess about places to see and things to do enhanced their visits."
"Worst stay at a Wyndham property ever! Late flight had us arriving after midnight, at hotel after 2am. Night front desk guy was polite and kind and that’s where the “good” ended. Went to our room, opened door with keycard only to find people already in the room sleeping 😳 Went back downstairs and got a different room but this one smelled like vomit until we got the temperature down. “Complimentary” breakfast had no eggs, yogurt, fruit, pancakes or muffins but the setup indicated those items should be available."

"There was a little bit of maintenance that would make it more attractive. My wife & I were thinking that the sheets could have been changed once a week, seeing that we were there 2. It was a very well kept place and handy location for the traveling that we did. The staff was very helpful and polite. Thank you for helping make our stay very pleasant."
"This was a nice hotel for our purpose of going from Southern Alaska up to Denali. Overall it was a good experience and we would stay here again. The staff was very friendly and helpful.
It’s clearly an older hotel and the rooms are very basic but if you are looking for a safe, clean place to stay this is great.
Our one big issue was the lack of blackout curtains. Luckily we had eye masks to block out the near constant Alaska In June sunlight.
Investing $50 per room in blackout curtains would be a wise investment and would likely increase repeat customers in the summer."
