Sri Lankan Villa was one of the best places we stayed in Sri Lanka, and the cleanest. Everything in the villa had been thought through, and our stay was so comfortable and easy. Lovely balcony too for relaxing. The location was perfect - close to Koggala lake, the beach, our favourite little Café Wave (try the hot lava cake), the railway line, and even the little road the villa was on was quiet and good for an evening wander. Highly recommended.

Mohan, the manager was extremely accommodating making gorgeous breakfasts and real cinnamon tea. The homestay is a really nice place to stay, in a quiet location but easily accessible to walk to the Fort and other local attractions. Tuk Tuks are made available with local drivers at a reasonable price to access the beach areas etc.This is the place to stay on anyone's plans visiting Sri Lanka. Finally many thanks to Harsha for his Hospitality.

Had a brilliant time at Cocobay over Christmas and New Year. Enjoyed it so much, we stayed some extra days. Private beach is a small piece of heaven and i swam to jungle beach (about a mile) and that was super fun too. (can get a short rickshaw ride or walk also). Food was great, Sri Lankan or international cuisine available. Stayed in two different rooms and both great, clean and with sea and palm tree views. A delightful setting, comfortable facilities and obliging staff who couldn't do enough yet respected privacy. Food superb, individually prepared and in amounts to feed an army! Private plunge pool a real asset. For a few days pretending to get away from it all, cannot be beaten. Only criticism is that check-in and check-out at the main hotel (The Lighthouse) was rather chaotic - forgotten about (twice) during the former and charged twice during the latter. We cannot rate the hotel and the staff highly enough. The front of house staff, the waiting staff the pool boys, the bar staff were all exceptional. They are all very friendly and extremely helpful.They really went out of their way to make us feel welcome, they can't do enough for you during your stay. This boutique hotel is set in a beautiful garden, the layout is well thought out. The pool was clean and refreshing, perfect size. Towels around the pool were supplied and the sun beds were comfy and secluded. The welcome drink was a lovely touch, refreshing. The bed was huge and very comfy, had a lovely restful stay.
