The hotel and room are “basic” but serve a very practical purpose if you’re in Chiayi or doing a tour to Alishan. The shower is powerful too and the bed and pillows were amazing! The room looks old, but it’s perfect what a decent sleep!

Located near the Wenhua Road night market area, this hotel is very modern and comfortable. Everything is cleaned regularly. The spaious common room is amazing (the air con was way too cold during my stay there though), with a big sunny balcony overlooking Central Square just across the street. The breakfast is only toasts and jam/butter plus tea and coffee, but one can also buy a few more things outside to add to the pleasure of morning dining.

The room was surprisingly large with 2 single beds, which were very comfortable. It had a decent size bathroom as well. Breakfast was included in the price which was honestly very reasonable. The hotel itself is roughly a 10-15 minute walk from Chiayi railway station which is also where the bus station is. There are a few places to eat near the hotel and the city is quite small and walkable anyway so eating options weren't a problem.
Overall a very nice hotel in a good location, I would happily...
