The staff was very helpful and kind. The room was spacious. Breakfast was good. But, public spaces were not clean. There were spills on the west elevator floor that didn't get mopped up the entire time we were there. The windows in the elevator were filthy. There were stains on the hallway carpets. As for the room, it was nice and big and we loved the double sink. However, it was dark in there only having a small window. The carpets and couches had stains. The pull out couch had stains on the mattress. Pillows were terrible. There should be signs posted as to when breakfast is served and when they stop replenishing food. (The employee said they stopped bringing food out at 9 even though the receptionist said breakfast was until 9:30 -- how are we supposed to eat at 9 if the food is mostly gone?)

We had a terrible stay at this hotel. We came down for breakfast and they ran out of food. We had to wait 15 minutes for more. There was only one working elevator; average wait time to go down was 5-8 minutes. We had a couple yelling and screaming in the room next door ( and they had dogs in their room barking).) We had the call the front desk twice to report it. Both times we were offered to move to another room, at 1:00 am. Someone from the front desk finally came up to tell them to stop. Our TV kept losing signal throughout our stay. When we asked for the manager, no one responded back to us. Overall, a very unpleasant experience and we always stay at Hampton Inns when we travel and we’ve always been satisfied.

Got a room and went to the room and it was dirty. Bathroom light on. Dirty towels on the floor. Beds were clearly slept in. Went to the front desk told them about it and they moved us to another room. Which was clean. But no compensation.

Margaret who runs the breakfast bar was so attentive and friendly. She was constantly on the go making sure all of the guests had what they needed to enjoy their breakfast experience. The room we stayed in 411 was extremely clean and quiet. Outside our window, we were treated to a neighbor cat sitting in its window smiling at us. This hotel is conveniently located in the theater district which made our experience even more delightful because we could easily walk to the venue for our concert. Also, the food marker is right down the street with so many food selections, my entire family was pleased. We will definitely stay here again next time we visit Milwaukee!

Our room was 83 degrees when we arrived (high temperature outside was upper 70’s). The cooling did not work, the hotel didn’t have a facilities crew on-site, and the temp in our room never went below 82. The hotel couldn’t place us in another room (fully booked), and the best they could do was provide an ancient box fan—not even a reduced rate.

If you like high-pitched buzzing from the air vents, or towel racks that fall off when bumped, or staff that are incapable of solving basic complaints, this is the hotel for you. Location is pretty damn convenient.
